What's your story? Last December, I got a big chocolate cake at Spoodles and got my mother back this April at Spoodles again. Our waiter even said to the whole restaurant: "We're celebrating her 21st birthday!" On both occasions all of Spoodles sang. We gotcakes from the Grand Floridian and Boardwalk bakeries.

DH and I celebrated my birthday a few days late while at Flying Fish. I did have it noted on our reservation. Our waiter brought over glasses of champagne for us - DH doesn't like champagne, so that meant 2 for me! We were on the dining plan and ordered desserts, I don't know if they would have done something special if we were paying a la carte.

We went to WCC for my DS 8th birthday last Sept. I called ahead and ordered a birthday cake to be delivered to our table. It was great, but thank God for take-home boxes! We had no idea the DDP would be filling us up so much - and we each got a dessert with our meal, so there was plenty of sugar to go around (esp. after letting the kids get the shakes for their drinks!)

The waiter was hilarious - joked and played with my son the whole time, then brought out the cake. He had all the little girls in the restaurant come over and sing Happy Birthday to him - he almost hid under the table he was so embarassed! But he still talks about it and how much fun it was! (For his birthday, his grandma let him order off the adult menu and she got a child's meal - he really wanted a steak!)

I suggest calling ahead for special occasions so that the waitstaff is prepared to make a fuss or help you make one. They were really great at WCC!

Got my DH the birthday pin at MK, then the barbershop quartet brought him up front and sang 'happy birthday' to him - it was priceless!

Goofy (his favorite character) sent him a card and balloons to our room and room service brought the most OUTRAGEOUS chocolate cake! I ordered it but they never charged me for it - thought that was so nice!

Seems like Disney magic is always expected but never guaranteed, so these moments were really special to us.

I think it's important to let the CM know just how much you appreciate that magic they just created.

Hoping for more magic next month for our Anniv!
