Disney Resort with 3 Bedrooms?

Hi. I am wondering if there are any Disney World Resorts with 3 bedrooms? We are planning a big family trip for next September, and have a few fussy people in the group. My Mum and Dad would like their own bedroom, my Gran would like her own suite (but really needs some assistance with a lot of things now and so although she would like to be on her own it wouldn't work too well), and my Auntie doesn't want a whole suite to herself but would like her own bedroom. They are looking ideally not to have to go for one of the most expensive resorts.

Or if there are none with 3 bedrooms, does anyone know if there are any 2 bedroom resorts with adjoining rooms?

DVC Grand Villas are essentially 3BR units, but are very difficult to book as a cash reservation because they are so limited, and they're part of the timeshare. 2BR units are also part of DVC, but somewhat easier to book for cash. (There is also DVC rental, but that may be a can of worms you don't want to touch.) There are no 2BR units that have connecting rooms. (Every room, in its way, is adjoining -- adjoining is just next to, no door in the wall.)

There are 3BR $uites at most Deluxe resorts. But you say they don't want to go for one of the expensive resorts.

If you don't want to be at an expensive resort, you will most likely need to book 3 rooms and request they be near to one another. Or you will need to book off-property.

There of thousands of DVC rentals each year at a cost savings for the family renting. Like any transaction you need to do your homework about the owner, broker, and the DVC differences compared to a cash booking through Disney.

Only a limited number of DVC suites are available through Disney; they tend to be quite expensive and booking 3 Value or Mod rooms will generally be cheaper. Most DVC rooms have to be booked by DVC members, some of whom rent their reservations to non-members. Those rentals have a variety of rules and restrictions.

Also, if you choose to go the route of booking 2 (or 3) separate rooms, you can request that they can be connecting/adjoining. However, it is only a request and is not guaranteed.

I'm a big fan of staying on site, but I do think there are some scenarios where it just makes a lot more sense to stay off-property. Yours is one of them. I'd highly advise looking into condo rentals in the area. I'm not sure you'll find what you're looking for at an acceptable-to-you price on site.

There is no way to guarantee that, unfortunately. Especially with it being all adults.

I do think there are some scenarios where it just makes a lot more sense to stay off-property. Yours is one of them.

I would look into renting DVC points if they really want to stay all together. I did it last year through one of the companies that rents points and had a great experience. You could at least get a quote to see what is available and what the cost would be.

As for getting individual rooms together, they are officially not guaranteed. However, my parents have always gotten a connecting room with my grandmother in the room next door. They put it down as the only request. The trip we took a few years ago we stayed at BC. My room was across the hall from my parents and grandmother in their connecting rooms. This year we did a split stay. At the GF we were in rooms all in a row-- my room then my parents with a connecting room with my grandmother. However, my aunt and uncle were in an entirely different building, although the front desk did move them to a different floor in our building when asked. At the BC my parents and grandma had connecting rooms on the first floor, and my aunt and uncle and I had rooms on the fourth floor but on different hallways. Also, a few years ago I was given a connecting room with my parents even though we didn't request it; we just had our reservations linked. So, even though it is not guaranteed, I feel like you would probably get the connecting rooms, but there is a chance you wouldn't, and a greater chance your aunt might be far away from the others.

You actually have a lot of options. You can book DVC resorts without being DVC members and without renting points (which I never do as it is too restrictive IMHO). A Treehouse Villa at SSR might fit the bill. There are other 3 bedroom villas at other DVC resorts, but, as PP have pointed out, they are very difficult to book as they sell out fast. You could also try for a 2-bedroom villa and a studio at a DVC resort. You could look into family suites at AoA or ASMu. Or do 3 rooms at any of the resorts and request connecting rooms (though not guaranteed). Your most cost effective option may be staying offsite, however. The Orlando area has a ton of suite and house rental options available.

The family suite at Music wouldn't work. It's two sleeping areas; with one bed in the bedroom and then two pullout surfaces in the living room. That doesn't result in the three bedrooms the op wants.

I don't know about the aoa suites.

Yes, it works if they book 2 suites. Or in the case of ASMu, one suite and one standard room.

This is true, but OP indicated that they don't want to be at an "expensive resort." AOA is billed as a value resort, but those suites aren't what a typical person thinks of as "inexpensive" IMO. 2 suites there is going to be pretty pricey. I maintain that they're better off looking off-property. I really think they'll find something more to their liking at a better price point.

We have booked three rooms near each other. One adjoining, and the other connecting. Sometimes, it doesn't work out like you planned. We had arrived and a couple staying in one of our rooms decided to stay two more days. Our plans were squashed. We were then given rooms away from each other and had to move to be together on the third day. I hope your plans go well and you have a great trip!

Several DVC properties have 3 bedroom units: GFV, BLT, Treehouses, OKW, BW.

Almost all of the DVC have 3 bedrooms. They are fabulous for a large party!

The challenge of a 3BR at DVC is you almost certainly have to rent DVC points to book it, and depending on when in September that is the start of DVC high season. The booking is non-refundable when you rent. It is rare that the Grand Villas get released to CRO.

Treehouse Villas are a little more common in CRO, but I don't know how the finicky relatives would feel about the bunk-bed room with the bunk beds for short people. My guess is they wouldn't be amused.

I'm a fan of staying onsite, but your situation sounds like offsite would work better. I have friends that have rented a house with 4BR and pool for the price of a moderate room. You would need to drive to WDW or rent a car, though.
