I really want to have a good look at some of the Disney resorts on this trip, so we are planning on spending a day doing just that :sunny: Does anyone have any advice on a good way of doing this? I know you can use the monorail/boats/buses but have never actually visited the resorts at all so have no idea of a good plan of action!

Thank you :wave2:

I think you will find it tough to visit them all in one day, especially using just WDW transport although this is part of the fun. For the resorts in the MK, why not catch the monorail to contemporary & GF or poly & walk to the other (can't remember whether it's GF or poly first on the loop). Some resorts, e.g AKL you would be best off driving to & getting a 2 hr parking pass. Have a great time!

Thanks for this :flower: we don't intend trying to see them all in one day as I think that would be a bit difficult!!

We will definitely do the ones in the MK area, thanks for your help :cheer2:

You can easily tour the monorail-linked MK resorts together whilst parking at the TTC and you can tour YC/BC/BWI whilst visiting Epcot. I think it would be too much hassle doing them all in one day -- they are all incredibly spread out. Why not do the MK resorts whilst visiting MK and the Epcot resorts on your Epcot "day" (using International Gateway it's about a 5/10 minute walk to them). You will probably need a dining reservation to park at any resorts, as the 3 hour permits are strictly controlled. Most car park guards will only give them if you have a confirmed ADR at the resort. :)

We plan to do this on our next trip to look at the Christmas decorations.

I would personally start with the deluxes and do the resorts in this order.
Catch a bus to the MK and then get on the monorail to the contemporary. Then catch the boat to the Wilderness Lodge and back. Then carry on the monorail to look at the Poly and the Grand Floridian. Once the loop has been completed catch a bus from the MK to the Boardwalk then walk around to the Yacht Club and then Beach Club. After that catch a bus from the BC to the AK and then on to the AKL.

This will probably take a whle to do so I would probably leave it there for the day. f you have a car I would still do the same route only drive from the MK to the Boardwalk and then walk back around to the Boardwalk to drive to the AKL.

why not try the dvc tour of ssr hay you might end up buying

That sounds like a brilliant plan, thanks so much for your advice :earboy2:

Oooooh, don't tempt me :cool1:

We'll be visiting the MK resorts on one day of our trip, I particularly want to see the Wilderness Lodge as have heard it's incredible. Gonna get to MK for opening and see some of the best attractions up to about lunchtime then will do the 'monorail' tour of contemporary, grand floridian and polynesian before catching the boat to wilderness lodge for a look around and dinner at the whispering canyon. Will return to MK later in trip for MNSSHP!
