Disney Resort to Univesal

My fiance and I are deciding what to do. We want to spend the majority of our week at disney but would like to take one day and travel to Universal. What do you suggest we do? Should we pay for a rental car when we only will need it for one day or should we just get a taxi or shuttle service?
Any suggestions?

Last year we took a taxi from HRH at Universal to our Disney resort. The cost was $30 + tip -- one way. So for a round trip you're looking at more than $60 for a taxi. You might look into the price of a round trip towncar transfer as well as the cost of renting a car for a day then make a decision as to what is most reasonable.
