WDW employees will be able to see an on-site physician or take care of other health care related needs when an on-site health and wellness center opens in late 2008 or early 2009.
This is a medical care facility that combines physicians and a pharmacy, a lab, basic radiology, and other health and wellness resources.
The facility wil be built behind Epcot Center.
No health management organization has been choosen to operate the facility.

GEE now I could work at WDW and not have to change jobs

the only question i have is will it be covered by all the disney insurance plans .

I am a radiology person...I want to work there!!!

I'm not sure how many insurance plans Disney World has. I know that I am eligible for Disney Health Insurance, but I have much better coverage as I have Medicare as primary and the Blue Cross / Blue Shield Federal Employee Program as my secondary so I don't think I would take advantage of it.

Why not apply now. WDW has a very large number of RNs.

Each of the parks is staffed by at least two RNs from when the first Guests are allowed in (includin early meals) until the time they estimate the last Guest will have left. This is both the theme pars and the water parks.

In addition, WDW has a staffed health center for Cast now. They do handle minor medical problems. But also they are the official arm of HR for cast medical problems.

For example, last year I had hip replacement surgery which, coupled with rehab, kept me out of work for almost five months. My medical informaiton, from my doctor, was reviewed by them and they placed me on medical leave of absense. When I got clearance from my doctor to return, they again reviewed everything and did the necessary paperwork to have me reinstated. It happens that I did let my manager know hwy I was going to be out, and kept her posted as to when I would probably have been back. However, if I had wanted to, the only thing my manager could have known was that I was out on approved medical absence.

So there are always openings for RNs here.
