These ones are all from CSR. I wish I knew why photbucket will only allow small images they look much better full size.

Hmm so do I but they won't allow me to post images any larger than the ones I have up for some reason. I wonder if it because I am using the free service not the paid service.

Charles,
I had the same question a few months back. Someone on the DIS told me it's not necessarily the host site, but rather in how you upload your pics. Are they digital ? Do you scan them in ? I use Kodak Easyshare to upload my pics off of my camera. You can change the way they are saved. Alot of software automatically makes the pics smaller files. Check your software guidelines.

It is photobucket with the free service they limit the image size to 250KB so that is why they are so small. I am trying a new host to see if it helps.

Oh ok....I see Charles. You upload directly to Photobucket from your camera ? Just making sure I understand you. I upload directly to Kodak Easyshare---the software came with my camera. From these files, I then upload to my online host sites. I use Sony IMagestation and Webshots, but always looking for other sites as there are limits as to how much you can store on some of these. Good luck Charles, and let us know if you find a good site. If anyone knows of some good online free storage sites maybe they can share ? :flower:

Whatever program you're using to save your pictures (jpg files) is making them unnessesarily big if they're over 250K. I'm getting 756x504 pixels and my file sizes are 95K - 149K.

We are saving them directly from the camera and the scanner our camera is set to fine jpeg and large image so they are about 3000x2200 or somewhere around that.

Ahhh... you should get a program (lots of free ones I think) that saves jpg files more efficiently or optimizes them. I get the same thing with my Kodak camera when I save my photos. I use Paint Shop Pro (purchased) and just opening and saving the file reduces the file size by 1/2. For Photobucket I resize the photo with really reduces the file size.
