Disney Resort ID card?

Can anybody tell me what the 'Disney Resort ID card' is? And what does it do? I just saw this on www.themouseforless.com

Notice on the bottom right it says 'We also honor the Disney Resort ID card. I want to know what it is?

I've also heard the term snack credits? Is that just a way of some people saying they have money set aside for snacks or is there some sort of thing that gives you 'snack credits' lol, i feel really silly asking these questions but they've been making me wonder...

The Disney Resort ID card is your room key. If you have a credit card attached to the resort ID, you can use it for charging at many locations at WDW, including many of the dining facilities (like the Liberty Inn at Epcot).

If you get the Disney Dining Plan as a part of your package from Disney (there are rules regarding the purchase of the DDP), you will get one Table Service (TS) credit , one Counter Service (CS) credit and one Snack credit each night of your stay. You stay 6 nights, you get six of each to use during your trip. Find out more about the Disney Dining Plan on the Restaurants Board.
