I’ll exchange 12/27 dessert party for 12/28 or 12/31 Ohana for 5 around 4 pm.

Actually, the ADR booking system is known for not liking parties of fewer than 4. It’s not unusual for there to be “no availability” for parties of 1,2,3 but plenty for parties of 4. Same for odd numbers - no tables for 5 or 7, lots for 6 or 8.

So if you can’t find a time for 2, check for 4, routinely!

PS there’s no penalty for showing up with fewer people, except for packages like fireworks dining. In that case, book what you can get online, then call to reduce to the actual number.

I have done this. There are only 2 of us, but added 4 for Garden Grill and Tony’s. Got them and modified my party to 2. Worked great. We are staying at the Polynesian and cannot get an Ohana breakfast or dinner for the whole week except our last day at 9:30 pm.

We wanted Topolino’s breakfast too. I did my ADR’s a couple of weeks ago and have not seen one Topolino’s breakfast yet. I was up before 6:00am to try and have been checking off and on everyday since. Absolutely nothing has shown up. I have even been changing the number in our group hoping something might show up .

Did you try checking Ohana today? someone mentioned ADRs between Christmas and New Years just showed up today. I really hope we get something. My ADR window opens tomorrow (of course they were going to do this to me).

Yes I check Ohana probably 4 times a day everyday. Nothing showing up. I have been trying 12/13-12/14-12/15 and 12/16. I have alerts set up with mouse dining also.

Reposting my rant on another thread:

Be careful booking for a resort you’re not staying at. There are IT issues that CMs are well aware of (she annoyingly kept calling it ‘magical extras’ that the system does once in a while). We’re at the Poly and SH71 conflicted with Ohana and froze (wouldn’t modify, wouldn’t let me cancel, CM couldn’t cancel and IT doesn’t/can’t cancel) so I was told to pay the no show fee and they will put a note down that I called to cancel (45 min call was 60 min wait btw) and the. I have to call back again or chat to get a refund on the no show fee. Meanwhile I can not book anything for 2 hours around that ADR.

I did get Ohana for the tail end of my trip so 60+4 as we are staying at the Poly. It is near the SH71 ADR that is stuck in the multiverse so I might have to let Ohana go or deal with the above senerio (pay cancellation and wait for refund)

I've been trying to book Olivia's for Thanksgiving Day since our 60 day window opened up We are staying there for 3 days and would like to eat at our home resort but though I've checked multipole times a day the only places that show up are the same Disney Spring places. Obviously the keeping some out for hotel guests either isn't working or they haven't dropped them yet.

If they're trying to do hotel guests a favor by holding some back, I can see it resulting in just making it more frustrating for everyone, including their own hotel guests.

The CM was really kind and knowledgeable overall and you could tell she was well trained and trying to keep calm and focused on solutions but that phrase and all the things I’m required to now do was annoying; though IT issues aren’t her fault. She has escalated these issues to IT but they don’t fix it. She said if we get enough tickets maybe something will be done. So she opened an IT ticket and said I may or may not hear from them.

Disney dining is like you’re paying to add extra stress to your vacation

Awful! As if planning a WDW trip wasn’t frustrating enough, now this? Hope they get this fixed for you.

I don’t think all is being held back it’s just many dates are sold out (park passes are gone so it will be super crowded). I could be wrong.

There is still park availability for all parks at this time other than Christmas Day and New Year's Eve. Boma isn't available for anyone, that I can tell, after December 13th.

Sorry, that must have changed since yesterday morning. But, it still doesn't justify why Boma doesn't have any availability after December 13th. I can literally still get a reservation for Boma for a party of 5 for tonight. I have found no dates between now and December 14th that are currently unavailable for dinner.
