Disney Resort Conventions sites??

Which Disney Resorts have room for company conventions? My wife's company has a yearly convention and they are considering Orlando. We were just wondering if any of the resorts offer conventions. They usually have to have room for meetings and banquets at night. It's usually a 5 or 6 day convention the last week of December.

There are a few conventions sites, however going the last week in December means going the week between Christmas and New Year's.

It is hands down the busiest time of the year for them, so availability may be an issue.

However, Swan and Dolphin are business person type resorts not owned by Disney, but on Disney property.

And Coronado Springs is a convention resort as well.

I think there is one or two more, but I am not exactly sure.

Check out the sticky at the top of the page that says Shipping to your resort.

They indicate all the convention resorts with an asterisk - I knew it was there because there is a shipping charge to those resorts.

Good luck with availibility if they don't make a decision quickly.

The Boardwalk Inn/Villas is also a convention resort.

I was at a Dept. of Education conference at the end of November/beginning of December. There were 6500 attendees at this conference.

The main conference hotel was the Dolphin. Rooms were secured at the Swan and Dolphin and the Yacht and Beach Club. Rooms were also secured at 5 other non-disney resorts. Attendees also took it upon themselves to secure lodging at hotels that best fit their needs that did not include any mentioned above.

While the Dolphin did its best, you could tell that we really overwhelmed the hotel. They were constantly making changes to the conference area to meet our needs while we were there. We were told by several hotel staff that we were one of the largest conferences that they have housed.
