Hi! I planned to book my Disney Resort today but the price has gone up from what it was a few days ago! Any ideas if they'll go back down anytime soon?

Thanks.

Are you booking with tickets? Is it possible the recent ticket price increase is what you are seeing?

Not necessarily. It depends on when you are going and how full the resort is. If it's filling up, the rate could go even higher.

Disney's prices do go up. They don't usually come back down.

However, there may be discounts offered that can affect the price you pay.

You should decide when you want to go, how long you want to stay and at what level you want to stay, ie what your budget is. Then you can figure out how to get the best price.

Give some details and people may be able to help you spot possible discounts.

Disney room prices though do not just randomly go up during the year, or as the resorts get filled. What could happen is that a lower price room category gets sold out at the resort, so only higher priced categories are remaining. Ticket prices did recently go up, so if you are talking about a package reservation, it could be that.

Without more details, no one can know what your particular issue might be, or if or how you might be able to resolve it.

Where were you booking? If it was on the Disney website, then chances are good that the rate you saw is gone for good. Even if someone cancels a room that was booked at a discount rate, the room is not returned to the discount inventory.

Are you looking at the same dates and length of stay? If you're looking at slightly different arrival and/or departure dates, it's possible that the discount was only available a few of the days and not the complete stay, so no discount is showing up at all.

Were you looking at a 3rd party travel seller such as Expedia or Orbitz? Then it could be possible that they had a short-term discount available that only ran thru the end of Feb. or the end of last week. In that case, it's not unusual to see a new discount come out a couple of days later that may or may not be usable on Disney resorts.
