I recently moved to Florida a year ago but I lost my license and leaving for Disney next week. Don't really have time to go to the DMV and get a new one but have my passport for traveling purposes.

I have an older Florida license that is not expired but it won't scan because its an old/inactive one. I have this extra one because I had lost my license once before but later found it after I got a new one issued.

Does anyone see this as an issue picking up my annual pass? My passport sadly still has my old address/state. Does Disney scan licenses when you pick up or do anything to verify them besides just look at them.

I know I can bring extra paperwork etc to be safe but I rather not have to go gather all that stuff if it is not needed

Thanks so much!

I live with my friend that owns the house so there is no lease I just pay him cash and the utility bill is in his name.
Sounds like you might be out of luck then without a FL DL. When we moved to FL, we got our DL the same day we applied for it. Just head to the DMV and get a new one.

Disney doesn’t “scan” IDs or driver’s licenses, but if the ID is expired or invalidated in a visible way (corners cut off, holes punched, etc) it won’t be accepted. A passport isn’t proof of FL residency by itself in any circumstance.

OP, assuming your spare ID isn’t valid, you will need to present a valid form of identification from somewhere - your passport will fulfill this part of the requirement - plus a proof of Florida residency. Since you don’t have a mortgage or utility bill, your best bet is probably to show a bank statement with your Florida address. If you have a car registered in Florida, that registration will work as well, as will a statement of car insurance with your Florida address.

I have a Flordia license its just not active - it's my old license that I lost, got a new license and then found it. I just know from previous experience it won't scan. So for example if I were to go to the bar I'd have no problem drinking or getting past the bouncer...unless they scanned it.

So my question is does Disney actually scan the license when you purchase? Because if they don't I don't have to go to the DMV last minute and take off work.

Thanks yes my license is as good as new just doesn't work because I got a new one issued. So sounds like I will be good with it and will be accepted :)

As you can tell I am not the best at not misplacing my things!

What previous experience? Disney doesn’t “scan” anything. They look at it. If it has your name, address, and isn’t expired, it will qualify.

Like at bars when they use the handheld license scanners to check your ID to get into the bar.

But... is that all you need? a bank statement to a Florida address? no other docs.. .?

Photo ID (your passport) and the statement.

The passport would never have shown residency as WE write in addresses in passports, and it’s suggested to do it in pencil. That’s proof of nothing address-wise.

If you do not have one of the IDs indicated above, then you must provide one of the following—dated within the past 2 months—evidencing a Florida residential address, along with a corresponding picture ID (passport, driver's license, state identification card)
