I was so stoked. I found a week in a prefered site for Christmas. I went to book and by the time I got my info entered, the site was gone. Someone stole it right from under me. Man Im mad. This is all my kids have been talking about. They have never seen the Fort during the holidays and wanted to go see all of the decorations. I still have some months left to try to find another one, but how can someone steal a ressie when I was a mere click away? The system needs some work.......

I've heard from several unrelated internal sources that in recent weeks, the res system has gone to a more "live" state. When someone clicks on a site, cabin or room to book, it comes out of active inventory for a certain period of time until a form of payment is entered to satisfy a reservation. I'm not sure what happened to your specific one, but they did tell me that this "real time" stuff has a bunch of bugs that will take months to work out.

Also, I heard that cancellations are done real time as well instead of overnight so that inventory is dumped back into availability immediately. I had some similar problems getting the cabins to come up at Christmastime as available last week when they were showing available 2 hours prior. A friend told me to jump on first thing in the morning.

I do not know how much of this is true, but I did get on the next morning and was able to get the cabin to come up for the dates I wanted. Good luck!

You might want to try calling rather than using the website. Most importantly though, don't stop trying! People are always changing their plans. Be persistent and you will get in!

I always do and have never been disappointed. The CM know where and how to look, something that you will never get the on-line site to do.

I am not sure what happened, I thought it was a real time system and pulled it from inventory when I went to reserve, but when I clicked to make payment, a message stating that the resort was not available came up and would not let me complete the process. Hope I wasnt cahrged for the click.

I was just frustrated. Thought I had my dates and ended up dissapointed......

Don't give up. Try again in the morning! I don't have much faith in calling, but you might try what PP's said and speak to an agent. The last time I did call an agent about this type of issue, she told me that the site was the more accurate method of availability.......in a "why are you bothering me" type of voice. I just haven't had many good experiences with agents.

Keep checking- when I was extending our Thanksgiving ressies, I saw it online and immediately called Disney in order to add it to our existing res. The agent couldn't see it and he told me to go ahead and grab it online! Try both ways I guess. Overnight cancellations are released at 7am Eastern time from my understanding but that could be old news.
