Disney Reservations Number - do they work on Sundays?

Hi folks, I've now spent 3hrs and 9mins and counting of my lovely Sunday on hold with Disney Reservations. Are there people there answering phones on Sundays or do I stay on hold until Monday morning for 17+ hours until they come into the office? I assume they'd not put people on hold if they weren't there but I can't imagine a place so busy (even with 2022 reservations opening up this week) that it would take 3 hours to get through. Is there a better time to call? I'm within 60 days of my planned trip and really want to get this taken care of.

At this point I don't want to hang up and I'm ready to die on this hill but *** is going on over there?

Yes, they work on Sundays, but I believe only until 11 p.m. Eastern time. Weekends tend to be the busiest time to call, and you can have hours-long waits until you talk to someone. I prefer calling during the week in the morning for shorter wait times.
