We recently tried to purchase BCV through resale, but Disney ROFR'd. :headache: We are now wondering if you have to go through a reseller like the Timeshare store, or can you go directly through Disney to buy into the older resorts? If so, who do you contact? Thanks in advance for your help.

Disney does sell the older resorts, when they have them in inventory. You would just have to contact them directly to see what they have available.

Just a heads up....I think, BCV are $106, per point, if purchased directly from Disney. (and there are no incentives)

But also no closing costs - unlike the new resorts. Unless something has changed recently.

Unless you have a need to get the points ASAP, I would just make another resale purchase.

The price difference of buying direct from Disney vs Resale is too great to ignore.

Wow! thanks so much for everyone's advice/information! We truly appreciate it. We are not in a rush at all to purchase, just highly disappointed. Such a long wait! We were told that the offer we made should definitely go through, but it didn't. So now we need to find about those closing costs and also the point price through Disney. Then we will decide to make another offer or not.

Thanks again!:goodvibes

Last Sunday we took the DVC tour. We were told we could get BCV for $106 per point, at least 100 and no closing cost. He told us they had 1000 points in inventory.

We're just trying to see if re-sale is better than Disney.

Thanks for the update. We have tried again to purchase through resale. Waiting once again to see if Disney will ROFR. Fingers crossed! If this one doesn't go through, we have a big decision to make.

THE PIXIE DUST WORKED!!! Second time was the charm! We just heard that we passed ROFR! YEA!!!:goodvibes
It took only 21 days to hear back. Now I guess onto the paperwork! I can't wait till I can actually plan a trip!
BEACH CLUB HERE WE COME!:cool1:

Oh, one question. I guess I'm still nervous, but is there anyway things can still fall through? :scared1: That would just be awful.

Thanks again to everyone!

Congratulations! The only thing that could stand in your way is if the seller decided to back out and not follow thorugh with the sale. This is highly unlikely but has happened to others.

Hopefully, you have motivated sellers who want to close quickly!

Sandi,

Thanks for the reply. The sellers took a long to sign the paper accepting the offer, which by the way, was what they were asking. I hope they don't drag this out or back out. I better not even think about that option.

By the way, I noticed you are from Syracuse. We are from Rochester. So, "Hello" neighbor!

Hope everything goes quickly for you. We just bought a 100-point AKV resale contract through Scot at the Timeshare Store. It took us 54 days from the day we made the offer to the day our points were available for booking in the Disney system. The TSS and Magic Vacation Title were great at keeping us informed during the process. Good luck!!!

How awsome for you! How much was the bid you lost and how much did you bid for success?
