Theme parks benefited from increased consumer spending, rising attendance and higher prices.

“Generally the numbers at our parks are very encouraging,” Iger said on CNBC. “We’ve had increased attendance. We’ve had increased spending when people come. I think that says a lot about the American consumer.”

Well, as a Disney stockholder, I see this as good news. I'm sure that there are others who won't see this as something positive. But I'm hopeful that maybe they will reinvest some of those profits in park and resort improvements. Things have been looking a little neglected at the theme parks for a while now.

Count me in as another shareholder happy. Unfortunately the rumor is also they will begin to cut back on discounts. Maybe free dining will go away.

We are also happy stockholders praying Avatar land is done well, and not on the cheap. We loved WWOHP and the rumored expansion sounds scary good. Would hate for that to hurt Disney too much.

Inelastic demand. Expect prices to keep rising incrementally as long as they keep making more money.

I don't know...not sure their numbers are right ~we haven't taken a trip to the World in 2 years and DH has always said we single handedly boost their profits I agree, as shareholders I am glad..as hopeful returning guest, gonna have to dig deeper into our pockets and get even more creative with our Disney math
