Disney removing dishes from menus

I have lately been trying to solidify plans for my early December trip and am disappointed in Disney's recent quest to remove any reasonable priced and/or quality dishes from their menus. I understand how the dining plan has affected the class of food; yet the prices only continue to go up . . . but it still bites [no pun intended]! It has become such a blatant money grab and I just need to vent to those who would understand.

Just a few quick examples of removal of items:

Lunch Wagyu burger at Hollywood Brown Derby
Strip steak from Mama Melrose [replaced with flat iron steak]
New York Strip from Tony's Town Square [replaced with braised short ribs]

My only thought is that possibly the Walt Disney World official menus might be wrong as many of the unofficial websites still show the original choices with current updated dates. But who knows if they really update them that frequently. :confused3

The dining plan has been around for a long time - don't think it's affecting the class of food at this point.
As far as menus go the official website menus are usually the most accurate.

In terms of accuracy, the unofficial sites rely on traveler reports so there's a lag on updates. How long that lag is varies from site to site based on their network of sources, but they all tend to get the changes second-hand and are therefore not as quick to reflect changes as the official site.

All menus change. It looks like they are trying to keep their menu up to date with current tastes. Short rib is huge right now and is appearing on many non Disney restaurant menus

Wagyu burger back on menu at HBD. Maybe they're just tinkering with the menus right now. Trust me, I will somehow go on . . . Lol

Flat iron steak is actually an upgrade, in the restaurant world. We used to be able to get flat iron steak at the store for the same price as ground beef because it wasn't popular. Now, it's usually twice the price of ground beef, and runs about the same as the strip steak.

While I may miss certain dishes that are removed, I am happy to see menus change. Different chefs become head chef at a restaurant and add their own flare to the restaurant. Other times, the current head chef just makes changes to the menu. Certainly there are options that I miss, but there usually are new options that are just as good or better.
