I'm just wondering if there is any place in the Disney parks where you can buy things like cat collars, toys, etc...

Thanks in advance.

Just read about a new area in Downtown Disney called Disney Tails...........pet related products. It is supposed to be near the Pooh Corner stuff. Although I have purchased food bowls and some stuff at the World of Disney Store there I am looking forward to checking this place out. I am headed that way on Thursday just for a shopping trip so will let you know what I find. My kitties already have their meals in "Disney cats" bowls with no skidding bottoms, and of course my dog has her own "Disney " bowl too. But I am always looking for special things for my fur babies:p

I've got a chew toy in the shape of Mickey's glove for my toy poodle. I had to cut the squeaky part out of the glove when it became too annoying, I believe we got it at DD.

I have also bought my puppy treats from Disney (I have a toy poodle also). You can get them at most stores in the parks and DTD. I spend 9.00 on a tin of treats for him--crazy isnt it!? What we do at WDW!!

Also, an FYI..
I bought some Disney squeaky toys (Mickeys glove and his shorts) at Target. They were around 5.00 for both...they sell a Disney line of treats, toys, etc...

After several prior trips to WDW last year was the first year I went as the mother of a dalamation...much to my disappoinment there was not a piece of dalmation merchandise to be purchased.....When I questioned CM's at world of disney and the xmas store about it they told me they pull a certain group of characters every so often...so after that long disertation (SORRY) does anyone know if Poohs Corner had any dalmation merchandise???? Thanks in advance.

In Feb. we found pet items in a store near Cosmic Ray's and across from the race cars in tomorrowland. We bought a MM charm for our dog's collar (she just passed away in April- had a very fast growing cancer in her esophagus):(

jjsmom my heart goes out to you on the loss of your pet...I lost my beloved doberman almost 2 yeard ago and I still cry over him everyday...i said no more pets it is to painful then I broke down and bought a dalmation who is the spawn of satan LOL......it is not the same but I love him to death and it help fills the void.....

I brought some stuff from the store on Main Street MK. There was a section with all dog and cat things. I brought two bandana with "my humans went to Walt disney World and all I got was this bandana". I also got tiger ears and a princess hat for the doggies. I can't wait to go next year and hopefully that store in DTD will still be open.

On our last trip, our Jack Russell Terrier got more souveniers than our friends and family!

Here is a run down of what he got (at the World of Disney store downtown; now there is a new store called Disney Tails) :

"My HUman Went To Disney World and all I got was this Lousy Bandana" bandana with the characters on it

Pooh & Tigger "Let's go for a Bounce" leash and collar set

Puppy Mickey & Eeyore ears

Pluto Treats, a tin bone shaped treat container filled with training treat sized liver treats

A Disney Dogs picture frame

A Disney Dogs water bowl with all the dogs & stitch!

A heavy duty Mickey radial tire chew toy

2 Heavy duty MIckey bones chew toys

I have to say that Disney's heavy rubber dog toys are amongst the best I have ever seen. They are made well, to withstand lots of chewing and tugging and they last! They are also not very pricy. They are bigger and cheaper than Kong toys, which are among the few toys my dog can't rip to shreds.

And I thought we spolied our terriers:) DH and I think that our dogs are our children and the get treated as such - we are always telling them they don't know how good they 've got it - hence the expression "it's a dog's life".
We cannot wait to check out this store when we go to WDW this September - thanks for all the information!!

jjsmom - also, please accept our condolences on the loss of your beloved pet - I believe we all know too well how painful it can be. DH's basset hound had to be put to sleep last year (the one that he grew up with for many years) so it was painful. Again, hope time helps heals the wounds.

I bought a Disney dog lead...unfortunately it didnt last long. It looked strong enough but my dog pulled and the clip broke on it...which enabled my dog to run free!!! Luckily I managed to grab him in time..as i dred to think what could have happened!

I visited the Disney Tails store on Monday. It was nice but still has a ways to go. I was hoping to find some doggie-tuff stuffed squeaky toys in Disney characters. They didn't have anything like that. They did have plush doggie beds and carrying cases, slickers, nice colloars and leashes. They have a new line of freshly baked doggie (and cat) treats. I bought cheese, beef, honey and snickerdoodle flavored treats. My dogs love them.

Those mickey gloves for dogs were also at my oddlots!!!! Thought I might have to go over there and get one for my Razzle and then give it to him when we get back. Think they wree $5 but not sure about the price.princess:

eblondie - I'm in the same boat as you!

Just wanted to warn everyone out there about these Disney leashes - we bought ours at Target. They are VERY cute - one is red with Mickey & Pluto, the other is blue with Tigger & Pooh. I have gone thru 2 of these leashes now & both have broken at the same spot. I thought the 1st one that broke was a fluke & tried again - then on the 4th we were at the holiday parade & Colby broke loose again! Luckily he didn't get run over by the firetrucks.

I'm not sure if maybe these leashes will hold up for smaller dogs - but they sure don't work on my labs. Needless to say we won't be using these anymore. Just not worth my pups getting hurt to look cute.

I'm also looking forward to checking out the pet store at DTD - would love some Disney stuffed/squeaker toys. :D

Just got back yesterday from WDW

In the big disney store at DTD there is a whole section of pet stuff. Bowls, tags, toys etc. Not a huge selection but it was the only place I saw anything.

When I was at Epcot last September, Mouse Gear in Futureworld had a column in the store that had pet gifts on it. I bought a few things for my cats.
