Just letting everyone know that I'm going to start the Disney Recipe Swap sign-ups on Tuesday, April 1 with a due date of June 13.

Also, there was an interest thread about doing another rolodex card swap that made me think that there might be enough people that want to do a swap for divider cards for the binder we have been using for the recipe swaps. We could sign up for a category like desserts, appetizers, main dishes, etc. I know I'm not the only one that has lots of recipes now. Let me know what you think and if we want to do one, do you think it should just go into the Disney Recipe Swap or into a swap by itself?

I would like doing both of those- I think the dividers could be a group within the recipe cards themselves (may be more than 1 group).

Rebecca

Dividers would be helpful for me as I've got 3 books full now and I can never find what I want :lmao: You might want a Disney and non-Disney dividers group (bags me in both!) as we've done both sorts of swaps a couple of times now. :thumbsup2

I've never done a recipe swap on these boards. Could you fill me in on the details for requirements?

Also, would this be recipes actually from Disney? I'd love the rice pudding from Akershus!

We use a regular sheet of paper cut in half (5.5 by 8.5) either sideways or upright to make the background page. We then add on the recipes and embellish. When we do a Disney recipe swap then we use any Disney recipes- in the past we have always done recipes not done before (we have done a couple of sets of recipes) but I know at least one group this time will be repeated recipes.

We always say to doubnle mat (the 8.5 by 5.5 is the largest area and to embellish at least once- sometimes in the theme of the recipe and other times they are done in the restraunt theme- you can choose.

Thanks rlovew! Are there any pictures on the boards of completed recipes that I can see?

Thanks guys! I definitely want to do this now!

Hi everyone..
I'm coming out of lurkdom, I've been following this board for a while. You guys have inspired me so many times when I've gotten stumped on scrapping. I've only been scrapping for a little bit. I've loved following these swaps, I think this might be easy enough for me to try. Will there be a list of recipes, restaurants, etc. to choose from?

Usually you can choose from what you want. I will try to find the lionks to the Disney recipes on the web. I know they are in some of the past recipe swaps- I'll look and then link back to them here. I think this is a fairly easy swap to start with- in that your base is really set for you.

Here is a good link for recipes:

Thanks for helping out here everyone. I think the recipes are the easiest to start swapping.

It looks like we will be doing a swap for the dividers. I hadn't thought of Disney and non-Disney dividers. I have all my recipes mixed up, but I may have to separate mine again. ::yes::

For me to get to Staples is about a 45 minute drive. Is there anyone that lives closer to one that can see if they sell dividers for the books we use that we could alter?

It's 5 minutes from the house. I will stop by today or tomorrow and let you know.:)

I just figured we would make them the same as the pages- we could always include a tab to add to the outside of the page proector if people wanted.

Rebecca

That would suit me better, and provide protection. I'm an hours drive and 5 hours flying from the nearest Staples :lmao:

And I don't think those dividers from Staples would work for the albums Mazda & I have.
