We have an upcoming trip in late November and if I am reading information properly the Ratatouille ride is by virtual que only. Anyone that has experienced this already, can you provide some insight into timing of getting in the que, tips, tricks - anything to be sure we get to try this ride.

Thanks!

Thank you - should have searched the topic first it looks like!
Sometimes, though, searching brings up too many irrelevant posts, I find! Although I had to do a Search of the Galaxy's Edge subforum to find the RotR thread, which is now irrelevant since Rise is standby currently and will go to ILL$ when Genie debuts. So I can understand needing help to find the right information.

Do I understand these VQ attractions correctly? There will be no actual standby line for Remy (or ROTR)? It's the VQ line (which is essentially their standby) and it's the ILL$ purchase to ride?

Yes, that's my understanding re Remy - you can choose between VQ or ILL$. RotR is currently standby, no VQ, so I'm thinking that once Genie goes live, you'll have the option to buy an ILL$ or use the standby line to ride Rise.

That's right, I forgot ROTR had the VQ lifted at WDW. I was just at DL a couple weeks back - still VQ there! It'll be interesting to see how they handle ROTR (on both coasts). It might be nice to have some consistency among the top-tier attractions that they want to charge extra for. Thanks

Question on Remy...

If you don't have an EP reservation but plan on hopping over in the afternoon... Can you make a ILL$ purchase in the morning for Remy?

I'm not sure we have enough information about how ILL$ is going to work to answer this right now. We'll know more a week from today so hopefully that's in time for your trip.

From what I am hearing you can as long as your ticket has hopping ability. The system will check to make sure you have that ability but will also not allow you to purchase it for a time slot before 2pm. Now this is all coming from people who attended the media event and so this is info they got from that event.

Had a VQ for Remy today. Was in the park at 1pm, refreshed the app and got Group 146 at 7:05 pm. What a madhouse over there when my party and I arrived. We weaved through the lines for 40 minutes before finally boarding. Nice ride but killing time after a full day in the park and then slogging through those lines to finally board the ride zaps the enthusiasm somewhat.
