Is DQ all 3-D type activities? Our family is not one for Visual Simulators so I'm not sure this is for us. DD 11, DS 8, DH and DM. (I'm prone to vertigo. Most roller coasters are fine. Mission Space is a HUGE no-no!) Lots of bright flashing lights in the dark would drive me crazy. Can anyone tell me more about this? TIA!

Quest does have alot of the virtual/3D things you don't care for, but they also have alot of other cool stuff. The Creative section is really neat, you can draw Disney characters and do different images of yourself, ect...

We liked Disney Quest, but I would only go there if we had extra time or on a rain day or something. I wouldn't take time out of the parks just to go to Disney Quest. If Quest is one of your ticket options and you have time, I think you'd enjoy it more than you think, but if you don't like the virtual games and you would have to pay the admission price you are probably better off skipping it.

I hate simulators and I LOVE DQ!!! I spend a lot of time in the creative station, where you can draw characters, write/produce your own song, and do computer graphics. They also have a section with some traditional arcade games, pinball, Dance Dance Revolution (which ROCKS!) I spend at least 1 day a trip there!

They have a lot of just regular arcade games. For example, the sea doo where you can ride it or games where there are guns and you shoot at the screen.

QUest is wonderful, however be careful creating your rollercoaster, that made me so sick, my son thought that was really funny, we all plan on a couple trips to quest on every vacation

DQ is GREAT! It's not totally virtual reality, although, they're are a lot. The best thing about it though is they have a lot of arcade games, and they're FREE! Admission is only like $32 (give or take a dollar or two) for adults. They have a Buzz Lightyear ride type thing, which is so much fun, the boyfriend and I rode it 3 times in 2 hours. It's like bumper cars, but it's enclosed, and you go on in pairs and you have this cannon type thing. One person is the driver, and one is the shooter. The shooter flings balls at the other cars and the driver has to drive over the balls on the floor in order to obtain more. If you get hit your car lights up and you spin around for a couple of seconds. It's really really fun. You can also be a human pinball, which I loved. It was a great work out! Haha, you stand on a little circular stand that moves and you watch your number ball on the screen in front of you and as you move on the stand your ball moves. You play this with like 11 or so other people, and at the end, your scores come up. But DQ is great and I think a lot of people overlook it. It's nice on a really hot day when the parks are crowded. The waits there are short to non existent.

It sounds like we ought to take a little time out of our day & check it out!!!

There used to be one of these in Chicago and it was a blast. At least I thought so, it closed though so obviosly not everyone agreed with me. Great date place if you don't mind the kiddies.... Any way does any one know the cost and hours of the one in Down Town Disney? I would like to go in the evening after a park...

Thanks! :listen:

One word of caution: watch out for the Human Pinball machine. Although, I'm slender frame. I thought I was big enough to move my machine- I could barely move it. I ended up pushing all my weight on the front handles. I ended up with bruises on my hips.. Not attractive at all.
We love the Pirate ship ride.. That was our favorite. That and the "old" video games.. They had Tron-I hadn't played that in 20 yrs. :earsgirl:

I loved the human pinball at chicago disney quest, there was a bit of a line at it though, but the winner of each game got to keep playing well everyone else had to get back in line if they wanted to go again, I was playing for like 5 games through well several people kept trying to challange me, I guess you may be right though, I am not a small guy by any means, at that may have helped me to do it.
