Hi all!

I haven't ever been to Disney Quest, and we're considering going this trip. Is it worth it? The kids going are 13,13,12,10 and 10. Four girls and one boy. Also, I saw that they have a food court there. How is the food? Expensive? And I know this sounds horrible, but do they serve alcohol (for the adults that have to sit around and wait on the kids!) Haha!

Thanks for your help!!

I think your kids are the perfect ages! But, it does depend on if they like that sort of thing. My daughter loves to go and design her own roller coaster and then ride the simulators that run the program. We always have unlimited hoppers so it doesn't cost us anything extra to get in. I would certainly try it once.
As for the food, it is about the same as the park fast food prices. We had a really good Italian meal one night. It was just pasta and sauce with garlic bread but it was only $5.00 or so. Have fun!

My DH who is 25 loves DQ. I spent one night with him there for like three hours. It's great to just walk up and play any game you want to and not worry about tokens or anything. We never ate there so I can't help with the food. We go to DQ everytime we visit WDW. Next time my nephew is old enough to enjoy it and he's dying to go.

buzz lightyear astroblaster = 2 person enclosed bumper cars with cannons that shoot foam balls at the other cars to disable & spin them...

Why would you want to sit and watch when you can climb in your own space car and shoot at your kids for once...!!! :Pinkbounc

It is very much oriented to the entire family... not just a boy or a girl thing... a family place.

human pinball / hockey game

"unlimited" video gaming, air hockey, etc.

virtual reality, etc.

your kids are the perfect age

and a perfect get-a-way if the weather is lousy or even a late night activity (open 11am - 11pm)

I think your kids will love it. My kids were 9 and 12 and had a great time, especially the roller coaster. You can watch them in the simulator and even purchase a video of them. Some of the games are fun for everyone to play, and there are plenty of places to just sit if you want. The layout of the place can be confusing, and it is possible to lose track of people. The food court is basic food court stuff, although there is a large selection of things. Different counters for different foods. You can buy beer, and maybe wine, although I am not positive about that.

My kids were 6 and 9 when we went this fall. They had a BLAST! We never ate at the food court. You can get your hand stamped and can come back in on your ticket. So I'd suggest to just leave and go eat at a restaurant and then go back for more!

Plus while they play you can go to the top level and they have computers for checking your email at the food ct.

The Pirates of the Caribbean game is awesome. Last year they had a bunch of "old school" video games I havent seen since I was a teenager.

The virtual reality game made me kind of nauseous but it was a hoot too.

MY 7 yr old DS had a blast but was disappointed he was an inch too short for the Buzz light year astroblaster ride.

I dont recall if they had beer.

Your kids will love it and we were surprised at how much us adults enjoyed it too.

Go straight to Pirates, it is the best. Plan to stay longer than you think. Our first trip we thought 3-4 hours tops and stayed 8.

We always eat inside, we think it's the best value at DTD. Our family of 5 (two teen boys) got a large pizza, a couple fries, an order of breadsticks AND COULD NOT FINISH IT. Best yet, it was no more expensive than outside the park prices. Very good pizza too ! There is a nice "private party room" upstairs that has always been available for us to eat in and makes for a nice break.

Don't think you will sit the whole time, you can have plenty of fun yourself ::yes::

If it's not included in your ticket, look for discounted tickets, try Ticketmania. We once saved $10 per ticket through them.

A definite must for the kids! As for the adults in your party, i suggest experiencing a few exhibits with the kids (esp. Build Your Own Space Mountain Coaster, Pirates & Buzz Lightyear) and heading down to House Of Blues for a beer or a cocktail! HOB is two skips and a hop away from Disney Quest.

Thanks for all your suggestions!!! I'm really excited now!!!

As for price, I found a great deal for 3 day Park Hopper Passes with DQ included!!! Yippee!!!

Oh if you do Cyber Space Mt. and you get nausius, beware of doing the fastest track with many twists and turns.
