What is Disney quest like? Is it worth the $ and time? What ages will enjoy it? Is it so packed that you can't do anything? Are there days to avoid that are really crowded? How much time does it take to do?

DQ has five floors. It has some virtual reality rides. It has all the games that you would find in an arcade but even the older games, like frogger and asteroids. It has a ride where you design your roller coaster and then you get in a simulator and ride it. It has a food court. You pay one price and you can play all the rides for free. I found that the evening tends to get very crowded. The only games you have to pay for is the ones that you get tickets from. It is a small area and you can just avoid that area. It is worth the price if you stay a few hours and anyone who enjoys playing arcade, video games will love the place.

Don't go on rainy days. It gets packed. If you really want to experience the place go on a beautiful day when it opens at 11:30 A.M. Our four kids (8,10,14,15) went on our last trip and loved it.

We have gone on a weekday and in the morning and the crowds were fine. My DS started going when he was around 9 and he says it is one of his favorite spots to visit at WDW. I, myself, am a video game flunkie, so the only thing I like is the cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory! Seriously, it is a great place for the video gaming nut.

We have PAPs and go almost every trip. We enjoy DQ, it has games you don't see all the time. I do recommend going when the crowds are low, on good weather days while the parks are still open. We have gone on a Sat. night and turned right around and left because it was so crowded. If you like paying video games you will get your moneys worth considering some of the same games are in the resort arcades for $1-$2 a play.

for all your replies. Would a 6 year old enjoy it? How about an old lady of 41 that gets motion sick on rides like body wars- are the games like that? do they let you come in with your kids, but not pay or play? I doubt it. I wish the admission was included in the plus passes:bounce:

Hi, I (42yo) went with my family & not being much of a game player I wasn't sure what I would do. While I didn't play nearly as many games as my boys, I had a ball. You can look up on these threads (I believe) a complete guard as to all you can do. Sorry but everyone has to pay admission and I wish they would add this to the park hopper plus as a plus option. My kids really did have a great time here and wanted to return the whole time we were on vacation. We are going back this winter and I'm even thinking of buying my kids some ap's from Disney Quest or doing lenth of stay passes (Or what ever they are called now) to get Disney Quest added on. If you do go don't pay the full price the area hotels always offer discounts to Disney Quest and I read somewhere else they give them out on the Disney property but I can't remember where. Sorry - I hope this helps.

Does you six year old play video games? My nephew was five and was big into N64 at the time and he said DisneyQuest was his favorite thing he did on his visit to WDW!

You can do a lot over there. There was an area where they had all the old games like Centipede, PacMan, Asteroids called The Graveyard. I liked that because those games were games I used to play many moons ago (another 40-something here). There is also a lot of computers set up at the tables by The Cheesecake Factory where you can sit and surf the net while the kiddos play. There are also computer games and art lessons on drawing the characters. I think you will find plenty to keep you busy.

Enjoy your visit!
