Of all the years my family has been going to Disney World we have never visited Disney Quest. This upcoming June we will finally go there. I have planned for an "off" day away from the parks where we can enjoy the resort pool and go shopping at Downtown Disney. That day we have a reservation to eat at TRex. I have an 18 year old boy, 15 year old boy, and 13 year old daughter. How long do you think they will spend in Disney Quest. I understand they can leave and come back as much as they want right?

My family went to DQ last year for the first time. DD was 9 and DS 10. Honestly, it did not hold their interest for more than two hours or so. The best part was the design your own roller coaster and then ride it in the simulator. I'm sure a lot of kids love DQ but mine got bored pretty quick.

My dgs(12) has been the last 4 years and loves it! We stay from opening until around 2pm and then go for lunch and then back for 3-4 more hours. Some trips we have even done it twice. I have it planned for twice our next trip. I think if your kids like video games they will like it.

We went on our last trip when my DD was 8. I was bored after about an hour, but she could have stayed busy for several hours. We stayed about 2.5 hours. She's insisting we go back on our coming trip.

My boys hated it and wanted out in less than an hour. For them it was too dark and too loud. No windows didn't help them. One said he felt like he was trapped.

Just our experience. Sorry to be a downer :(

We have been 4 + times. Kids at various ages. Long ago it was unique. The elevator to the place was a ride in itself. That has long gone. There are about 6 interesting things to do including make your own coaster:thumbsup2, pirates ride :thumbsup2and a buzz lightyear type ride:thumbsup2. Rides you get into and are active. I like. Long ago this technology was cutting edge or so we thought. Enter the age of the kinex? and there is not too much cutting edge anymore. It can get crazy at times. Long lines. It has tons of arcade games. All that being said, kids want to go one more time this summer then we are most likely done with it. It is loud as pp mentioned and yes there are no windows. I would say at most 4 hours. Try to get there right when opening if possible for more time on the interesting places then move on quick before the crowds. They only let so many people in at a time so you could wait to get in and then wait again once inside. Made that mistake only one time and learned my lesson. Years ago, maybe 4, the cm told me they were no longer fixing things as Disney was hoping to shut it down as there is not enough money to be made there. Given the changing of DDD I would say that is a real possibility. FYI we are not a gaming family. We have a Wii that no one really uses no xbox so we might not be into as much as someone in love with gaming. Think giant video arcade dave and busters or chuckie cheese 3 stories high and not all of it working.

We've been once a while back and had a fun time. If memory serves, we spent about 2.5 hours there, but kids were younger (3 & 8). There are lots of fun games (interactive), but sometimes the waits can be long for the popular games.

Yes, I believe you can come and go from DQ as long as you have your ticket.

Are you staying in a WDW resort? If so, check to see if you get a couple free tickets. We are going in October and get two free DQ tickets/room. Cousin and I plan on spending the day shopping while the kids (ages 10, 11, 12, & 16) will be hanging out at DQ..... which sure beats having to hang with us boring mom's and our shopping addictions!;)

In addition, I've heard the food in DQ is pretty good.

My kids could and do spend 3-5 hours at DQ. When I go with them I do some things but get bored more quickly. I take a book and sit and read. If they are old enough just send them and let them spend as much time as they want.

DQ can get busy too and it is good to do it at opening at least once. Some of the cool things to do like the team interactive pirates ride can get long lines. Same thing for the rollercoaster design ride. It is sort of liek SOAT at Epcot but better. Do things like that first.

I think DQ opens at 10AM and if so I would make a late ADR at TRex (like after 1PM to give them time before lunch.

We are two adults in our late 20s, and used our free vouchers to visit DQ for the first time last trip. My fiance is big into video games so I thought he'd get a kick out of it. Well, we hated it. We walked in and were lost - wasn't sure what to do, which attractions were good, etc. Turns out there were only a few "good" attractions and the rest were really cheesy. We did the Buzz bumper car type thing and it took nearly 45 minutes because they were having technical issues. I can see why people would go here on a rainy day - I suppose you could kill time on the actual video games - but I would never pay the prices they ask for admission. I think a lot of it is definitely geared more towards littler kids as well.

Do you have to pay extra for the video games or is it all inclusive with admission?

In the last two years I took my 19 year old son and my 17 year old daughter (separately trips). We had a great time at DisneyQuest. So much better than when we went when they were preteens. Now they've had the experience playing games online or on XBox they enjoy the games more. And they liked playing all the old games that were popular before they were even born. We spent about four hours there each. Neither kid wanted to do the create a Rollercoaster (that had been their favorite previously) and DD and I didn't get to do the Pirates Virtual game but DS and I asked another family to do it with us so we'd have enough people to play it well.
