Disney Quest & Water Parks....worth the Plus?

We get Premium Annual Passes for the added benefit of those parks (even though a regular Annual Pass gets you a discount on them). IMHO it is worth it. MY DS is only 5 and last trip we spent 1 day at BB and 1 at TL, capitalized on the PAP mini-golf discounts, and then spent 3-4 nights at DQ after doing parks all day. This trip (same passes) will give us the same flexibility and since we've already broken even on the passes, it's all bonus time. The water parks are definitely worth it, but I'm not really sure how the new passes and the plus features work - I didn't think the waterparks were $45 to get in, but then again I've never paid for a standalone WP ticket.

Kids older than 4 or 5 should have enough to do at DQ to keep them entertained - I guess the question really becomes would you normally spend $45 on "video game" type entertainment. The games at DQ run the gamut from the traditional old school Pac-Man games that cost 25 cents (no fee at DQ), to the newer Star Wars landspeeder games that would cost $2 at an ESPN Zone for instance, as well as some virtual reality games and remote control car games etc.

We plan on buying the 7 day with 5 pluses but my question is do we only get one admisson to each park or can we use it how ever we want.
Ex: Can I use 3 admissons to DQ and 2 to the water parks? Or do I only get one to each of the 5 parks metioned?(Wide World Of Sports, DQ, TL, BB, Pleasure Island) I don't really want to go to Wide world of Sports or Pleasure Island. I have read it different ways and trying to figure it out. Please help!

I was never a waterpark fan until we went to blizzard beach and found out just how fun they are.Theres some really great sldes and a lazy river the whole famly loves.My son and I also close DQ every nite.He wouldnt miss it.You have a virtual rollercoaster,buzz lightyear bumper cars,Pirates of the carabbean and just a ton of games for kids of all ages to play and do.

You're free to use the plus options any way you please. We'll have the same tickets for our upcoming trip. Plan A is for us to use 3 pluses at DQ, one at PI, and one at a water park. Plan B is to just buy the DQ annual pass, then use 3 pluses at PI and 2 at the water parks.

it's completely worth it, you spend like...45 or 50 dollars for DQ so i don't think it's much of a difference. But for the water parks, do it man! so much fun.

I definitely think that if you are staying more than 5 days, the $45 dollars is definitely worth it for 4 or 5 visits to the water parks or Disney Quest.... basically you are paying less $9 to $11.50 per visit for these, which for a one day ticket would cost you $32. All are fun and I think you would be doing yourself a disservice not to add them on!

i think if you have a pool at the hotel the water parks are just not needed

If you have kids younger than 7 and not at least 40 inches tall, they would likely not have much to do at DQ. The preteens and teens LOVE it!

Typhoon Lagoon has the edge for me since it has the scuba swim with the sharks, as well as the wave pool. The new slide might be fun. On the other hand, I can't take a whole day of sun, so TL is a half day park. (Always go early and catch a good space, with shade and a nice view of the waves.)
Blizzard Beach has that really scary high ski-jump, and is much brighter, less tropical. The most amusing thing there was the ice-floe playground for smaller kids. Same rule: go early.
DQ is a favorite of my teengers, and they wanted to go every night two years in a row. Virtual Disney instead of real Disney, which is after all only virtual fantasy rather than real fantasy. Hmmm, it gets complicated. I enjoyed the animation classes and tried most of the games, but after two visits I was overwhelmed by the small of the cooking fat they used in their snack bar. Sorry, I did not taste the cheesecake.
Also, it is hard to keep a group of more than two together in this place. There is so much for them to see.

I will agree with eeyore that it's totally worth the $45 for 5 pluses. We enjoyed the water park (BB was open when we went). We like water parks though- we're used to them here in Texas. LOL

I'll disagree on the comments about DQ only for older children though. Our last trip we went to DQ WAY more often than we thought we were going to (we got PAP's but figured we'd only go to DQ maybe once or twice in our 12 day trip- we ended up going almost every evening and our last day! ) Our children's ages at that time were 3, barely 6, and 9. Our youngest two enjoyed it as much as the 9yr old just doing different things. I can't remember which floor it was but there was one floor with the drawing on the machines and learning to draw characters- I thought we'd never pull our youngest off the machines (and she had to stand on the "blocks" to reach it) nor our middle child off the 'learning to draw characters'. Actually we did have some fights on our hands each time we had to leave. LOL
Our youngest enjoyed the level that had the games with tickets to "buy" stuff with after playing (those cost extra though)
Depends on the kids I guess... but DQ is NOT just video games.

We booked our trip last year before all these crazy options were offered. We are doing a land sea package. My kids are 5 and 7. Do I have this right? Our package includes entry into Disney Quest, and there are games and activities which you don't have to pay extra money for? Maybe we should check this place out one evening.

Are there any extra charges once I'm inside?

Your admission includes unlimited use of all attractions except those which give redemption tickets that can be traded in for prizes. These are spruced-up traditional midway-style games like Skee Ball. You can play these games for a small fee, and the tickets you win can be redeemed at the gift shop for prizes - anything from a plastic Slinky to a DisneyQuest t-shirt. You can save up tickets for redemption on a later visit, if you like.

You'll also have the option to purchase any artistic items you create in the CreateZone (e.g. at the Animation Academy, Magic Mirror, Living Easels or Sid's Create-a-Toy). Playing with these attractions is free in itself, however, and there's no obligation to buy your creation afterwards
