Hi. On our last trip we walked past Disney Quest in DTD but didn't go in. I had heard it was for older children and mine were 5 & 7. They will be 6 & 8 during our next trip. What is DQ like for younger children? Should we use one of our plus options for this?

Thanks:wave:

I don't think DQ is available as a plus option, but is included on the UPH.

My kids where 14 and 11 last time we where there. There are many floors of video games, interactive games all kinds of stuff.

I am sure your 8 year old will find lots to do but not sure about the 6 year old as my kids weren't near that age but there is alot to do so I am sure they would all enjoy it.

If you have UPH or Lenght of stay tickets Disney Quest is included so you wouldn't lose anything by at least checking it out to see if it is age appropriate for your kids.

Have fun

If your kids like video games then they will love Disney Quest. But only go if it's included in your pass because it's expensive.:wave2:

but once you pay your admission in do you then have to use tokens/quarters to play the games or are they included in the price of admission? We had a chance to go in June but I didn't know if it would bankrupt me once we got in so I passed till I could find out. My 8yo and 6yo love video games so they would probably like it. Mom and DS (the 8yo) both love Cheesecake so the Cheesecake Factory would suit us fine too.

No once you are in that is it. We didn't pay for anything other then food and drinks once we were in there. Actually I guess I should rephrase that. We didn't come across anything that you had to pay extra for once we were in.

There is an area similar to Chucky Cheese where you get tickets and redeem the tickets for prizes. You need money or tokens to play these games.

DQ is a video game "heaven" for those kids who love video games. I made the mistake of taking my 10yr DS in there last time we went and had to literally drag him out the door!! It is several floors of video games and interactive games. 99% of the games are no charge. Only one small area had those chuckie cheese type games where you won tickets to redeem for junk box toys!! If your kids are into video games by all means take them...but I would only go if you had them included with your passes. I won't spend that much money to go in!!

although my son would probably want to play all the ones for the tickets. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_8_2.gif' border=0></a>

I just hated going to WDW and ending up at "Chucky Cheese" (the arcade at resort). I told them we were at Disney and would visit Chuck E Cheese later this summer. They haven't forgot either.

The section w/the games you pay for is small and doesn't have any really exciting games- your child probably won't even notice them. There are skee ball games on free play and other free chuckie cheese type games.

I usually don't like video games or noisy arcades, but I LOVE DisneyQuest and usually go several times each trip (we have PAP's). I love the Buzz Lightyear bumper cars. It's nice to go to DQ shortly after it opens around 11am- its very quiet inside and you won't have to wait to play/ride any of the games.
