My family LOVES DQ! If your kids like any kind of interactive/video games its a must do! There are plenty of things adults can enjoy too. I didnt get the plus option on my tickets this trip so I just ordered DQ tickets off mapleleaftickets.com and they will be delivered to our hotel.
Its a 5 story fun house! You can get a sweet in Wonderland Cafe and email friends and family while the kids play games if you want or there are games that can be played as a family. The best ones being the virtual POTC, Jungle Cruise and Buzz Lightyear Spin.

We have the Park Hopper pass, so I know we get into DQ for "free", but do we need to take quarters to play all the games?

No once your in you can play almost everything for free. There are things that are extra tho. Now PH wont get you in you will need the Plus option that gets you into the water parks and all..
