Disney Quest for a 5 year old?

Is Disney Quest worth it for a 5 year old? My DH and DS may go and use our vouchers while we are there in June but I'm not sure if it is even worth the time. DS plays games on the iPad at home but not "real" video games. DH can take them or leave them. Would they have more fun swimming in the pool that day? I'm just worried the games are going to be way above a 5 year olds game comprehension level.

I vote for hanging at the pool with that age. But if you have free vouchers and want to spend the time checking it out, no harm. I'm not sure there's much for a 5-year-old, though, as some have height restrictions.

Enjoy your vacation!

They have a lot of vintage video games, like pac-man, space invaders, etc

And they do have Fruit Ninja on a huge touch screen, guitar hero, air hockey, and a section of games for young kinds like whack a mole and wreck-it-ralph.

If you have a voucher for free admission, no harm in checking it out on a rainy day or if it's too hot because it's a great way to kill a couple of hours!

I would only take my boys (also 5) if it was a rainy day. In a few years then we'll definitely make an effort to go for a few hours but I don't thnk they'd enjoy it as much as DH and I would so its not worth it right now

DisneyQuest is much more than a warehouse of video games! They have animation computers and classes for visitors, create your own song booths, "rides" like Pirates of the Caribbean (a virtual reality experience for families), Buzz Lightyear Bumper Cars, plus games like skee-ball and others you would see at an arcade. Not sure if it is ok to post here, but this is a link to a review I wrote on DisneyQuest for The Adult Side of Disney. Hope it helps!

I think it would be harder for a five yr old than an eight yr old or older. He might have more fun in a kids club one evening and you and your husband go to DQ without him.
