Disney Quest for a 4 year old?

How would a 4 year old do at Disney Quest? DS (age 4) and DD (age 10) are interested in visiting DQ in July, even though they are not computer game saavy. DS is 45" tall. Would it be worth our time and money to go to DQ?

Hello - we took our 5-yr old in Nov 99 (birthday in March, so 5-and-a half). He loved Quest and we went 2x in the week we were there. The Hercules video game was great; the raft-ride experience was great and he enjoyed the video games he was familiar with. He even enjoyed the older video games and figured out how to play Dig Dug right off the bat. He wasn't tall enough for the Buzz Lightyear bumper car attraction; but he watched from above. The Cheesecake Factory was also a big hit, as it was a familiar name to him.

If you have a LOS pass by all means go. But if you're going to pay full price for the tickets I would think twice, esp. if your kids aren't familiar with that many video games. It really is a great place. Hope this helps! (BTW, where do you live in LA? We lived in Lakewood before we moved to LV)

I also have 4 & 10 yo's, but they are DD's. Since we are getting the UPH and DQ is included we are going. I imagine my 4yo will like the old arcade games. If she gets bored plan B is to head out to Marketplace with 4yo and 10yo and either Mom or Dad (whoever loses the coin toss) will stay and play.

I've heard that DD might be a little over stimulating for a four yo. I say go there for dinner and check things out , ht. requirement, and overall enjoyment for them. We plan on going down there to assess it. After all you know what your child can handle. Whatever you decide to do just have a GREAT time!!

Thank you all for your replies. We would be paying full price to get into DQ this summer and it seems high, especially of DS and DD cannot fully appreciate the experience yet. "Jlima" - we live near Pasadena and try to go to WDW at least every other year. We go to Disneyland about once a month.

We went to Disney Quest this past Friday night. My DD's (5, 2 1/2) couldn't do much!! Too young and too short. My 9 year old DD loved it. We paid about 89.00 with a DVC discount (I believe 20%). IMHO, I won't do it again!!!!!!!!! Hope this helps.

We took our 5 yr old this January, and we DID have a good time, but a lot of the virtual reality attractions were too real for him, and he got scared. So we did a lot of swapping while one of us did an attraction with our 8 yr. old. If I had to pay full price, I might wait another yr or two.

Jasmine - my husband grew up in Highland Park and went to Franklin HS; his dad still lives in S. Pasadena. We have Disneyland APs, even though we live in LV. Too bad they didn't build a Quest at California Adventure!!! Now that would have been terrific.

Small world. I attended Nightengale Jr. High and went to Franklin HS for one summer. Then attended Belmont HS and graduated in 1974. I agree that DQ should have been added to DT Disney, but I also understand that DTD is doing well and plans are to expand upon it, so perhaps a DQ might still be in the works (though I personally doubt it).
