Disney Q4 Earnings

Someone at DFB needs to learn the difference between million and billion.

D+ seems to maybe be hitting its market saturation, or at very least its mature growth phase where its still growing but not by large numbers each qtr.

It should be noted that D+ is still not available in many countries. So I would be a little hesitant to say Disney has reached in concentration level.

D+ just opened today in two Asian countries. I am curious to see how that plays with new subscribers.

Indeed. Their goal was only 230+M by the end of 2024. They are 2 years into a 5 year growth plan and at 120M and still have a number of countries to roll into. They were only 1M under projections.

dont lose sight of the revenue per subscriber - signing up 20 million foreign subscribers but at $5 ((or less) instead of $10 per person in the USA is an ongoing concern - plus the demographic they are targeting isn’t as broad as Netflix

Gotta love this quote: McCarthy said there’s a lot of things “worth talking about. We can adjust suppliers. We can substitute products. We can cut portion size, which is probably good for some people’s waistlines." Someone should start a Disney Fatties Blog, it could include stuff like food hacks, oh wait....
