Disney Professional Internships: Spring 2016

First time poster here!
I didn't see a thread for the upcoming Spring 2016 DPIs, so I figured I would start one up so we can anxiously wait together.

Personally, I had applied for a handful of internships back in late August, mostly marketing positions. I had my first phone screen the first week of September but haven't heard much since. I think it went pretty well and I am hoping to hear some positive news soon. Currently showing as "In Progress".

Since I don't have a facebook account, the only place I've been following for updates is tumblr, but there are only a few users posting about their progress. Other than that, I've also been referencing a 2014 Spring DPI thread on this board. For those keeping track, it looks like background check emails went out around October 12th-14th...if that pattern is repeated, we may have an update by next week.

Who else has applied? Have you heard anything back yet?

My daughter also had her phone screening a few weeks ago. She had applied for about 8 PI's, which the screener had the list of and her resume when she called. My daughter is currently scheduled for 2 interviews, she got the email to schedule those a week or 2 ago (those are for management PI's that the applications had closed Sep. 10). The PI process is much more selective than the DCP so it takes longer (I also have another daughter who did 2 engineering PI's). Good luck to you Rivers of Light!

I am in the Facebook group. Most of the MIs have their 2nd round interviews this week, ending on October 22nd. The alumni only ones have just started to get drop downs.

Mostly Disney/ABC. I have 2 IP and 7 IS. I had a screening interview in early November.

Not sure if the internships in submission would ever change at this point but hoping to secure a spot because it's my last chance as a recent graduate.

Long time dream... Trying to stay positive!!

You have 7 in interview stage? That is quite a few... but that is usually a positive thing. ABC is mainly slow.

Oh no, I have 7 (In Submission) and 2 (In Progress). I am new to all this so I thought IS meant "In Submission." Sorry for the confusion and thanks for your input! It's nice to have someone else's perspective.
