Ok. So my wife and I noticed something on our recent trip. Although we had a nice vacation, Disney is certainly slipping. I do not want to go on a negative rant because it is my choice and I keep on going back, so something's working for us, but more and more we are seeing quality declining. One area seemed to be the princess face characters. I know that the princess dinners sometimes do not get the A-1 face characters, but when you get a FP for a Rupunzel meet, you are expecting A-1 princess...um, not the case. When my daughter asks, after the meet, who was that? I would say there may be an issue. We experienced some, well very un-princess-like face characters at the meets. A terrible, and I mean terrible, Rupunzel, a very bad Ariel, a very poor Snow White, and even a bad Jasmine. I don't want to go into detail about flaws, but let's just say I know, for a fact, that there are many young woman with the attributes to play these characters, and it really is a shame that Disney is allowing just about anyone to play theses parts. Maybe we just had a poor draw, but I was wondering if anyone else's had noticed? On a positive, Cinderella and Alice were amazing and spot on!

Are you talking about their attitudes and the way they interacted with guests?

Or what they looked like, as in they look nothing like the characters?

You may need to give a few details, I'm confused about what you mean. :)

I thought the same thing on our last trip. The ones we met had the right acting, but didnt look right. I felt bad thinking it but it bothered me that we ran into princesses that looked nothing like other women playing the same princess. I know they won't be identical and their has always been variety but you could only tell who they were by the dress.

They represent cartoon characters. :confused3

I don't even want to type what I think is meant.

What are your expectations? It's fantasy, not reality. Use your imagination a bit.

Pixie Dust! :wizard:

I am confused. Do you mean their looks or their acting?

PS Please tell us more about this Rapunzel.

Sorry. I just didn't want to offend anyone. It was definitely their looks. Their attitudes and acting were fine. Rupunzel looked nothing, and I mean, nothing like Tupunzel.

Obviously, but Disney should at least TRY to mimic the looks.

I never really looked at the faces of the princesses - meaning, the girls in costume. As a guy, I guess that I never had an expectation other than that they act like the character.

I completely understand. Our trip in October 2013 went like this with one character, and it still bugs me incessantly. We had dinner at CRT, and after most of the princesses made their rounds, a CM came over and asked if we met all of them. I ran through the list, gave him a disappointed look and said, "No, we're missing Jasmine."

Well about ten minutes later Jasmine showed up with the nastiest attitude you could imagine. Looked over at my SO on the table, arched an eyebrow between him and my birthday celebration button and said something to the effect of, "Oh, you're celebrating." Very snotty, snobbish and rude, far more than any princess should be, whether 'in character' or not. She took a picture with me but honestly I felt like crying after she left. It hurt twice over when, a few minutes later, she came to the table next to us with two little girls, and was sweet as a Georgia peach. Talk about getting the short end of the stick.

Beggars cannot be choosers! Sorry Jasmine didn't have the attitude that you wanted, but is it really the end of the world if you didn't get to see her? I mean, REALLY? :sad2:

Considering it was CRT, and not just a regular character meet out in the open, yes. CRT isn't exactly a place I pay to go just for the food, otherwise I'd hit up Landscapes for dinner after doing a round of princesses in either MK or EP and call it a night. :rolleyes1

The entire point of paying the ridiculous CRT prices is to see *all* the princesses, so yes, REALLY. :sad2:

When I went (2 weeks ago) The Ariel was so bad. She looked nothing like her. Big blue eyes pale skin and a RED wig. Not that hard to find.
