Does anyone have any idea where one could purchase a child's princess dress at a discount? I have looked on ebay, and the prices are not much better. The Disney Store has a Cinderella one on clearance, but of course, my daughter wants Rapunzel. They are just so pricey.. :(

Can you sew? The patterns are cheap and you can get coupons at many major fabric stores. If not, maybe look into commissioning one from a seamstress?

Have you seen the ones at Toys R Us and other department stores? They typically run between $25 and $50.

I saw a cute one on Etsy for $39.99. Since I don't have 10 posts, it won't let me post the link, but the seller is sissybugs if you want to do a search.

The seller has great feedback, but I haven't personally used her. I was looking for an inexpensive Cinderella dress for my daughter and came across the Rapunzel. I think you get a lot better quality with homemade.

I really need to learn to sew!

I would tell her that Rapunzel is not a real princess but Cinderella is and that if she gets Cinderella she will get the glass slippers too.

Another Etsy fan here!

I can't say they are much cheaper, but I feel that they are a good quality. The fabrics are often cotton which would breathe better in the hot sun.

I plan to do Etsy once my princess decides on which princess she favors. It changes week to week, and I want to surprise her at BBB with the dress.

For a discount, watch the Disney store after Halloween. Often they stock up on costumes and then mark them down after Halloween.

Here's my resource for park exclusive dresses/costumes, I've dealt with her for years! Those are they same items sold in the Disney parks! 1/2 price or less.

I've purchased many costumes off Craigslist. I do a general Google search such as 'craigslist.org Rapunzel' and you'll get listings in different cities, to which I'll pay shipping. Many are worn once, some not at all.
Also, 7/19-7/22, Disney Store and DisneyStore.com is having a Friends and Family Sale, everything is 25% off. Promo code DISNEYPAL if using online.

We usually buy Disney dresses after Halloween ... and save for Christmas. That being said, I'd rather buy from etsy than Disney, if the quality and product are worth it. I'd rather support a SAHM than a company who's mass producing an item in another country sort of thing.

However, I would not buy from Walmart or TRU if your daughter plans on wearing that thing around the park. Those costumes tend to be itchy!

I'm looking for the Rapunzel Wedding dress in size 7. Has anyone seen this for a good price? I don't mind buying second hand if it is in good shape. Thanks.

Thanks for the sale info! I need to do one last order before our August trip.

I am starting a collection for my daughter and just found a Minnie dress and Rapunzel also for $3 each on an online yardsale on facebook. A lot of times is you post an ad saying you WTB certain things, people jump on it.
