I don't know if this is a good price or not since I don't have kids and I've never shopped for them.

Anyway, at Costco (Neptune, NJ) last night I saw a big table of Disney Princess Customes for $29.95. They looked pretty cute and when I saw them I noted the price just so I could post it on this board for anyone interested.

I've not seen the costumes at Costco, but the ones at The Disney Store are $34.50 and they are all absolutely beautiful and of excellent quality!! So for an extra $5 I'd go with the "real" thing!!:D

I have the costumes from Costco and they are gorgeous. There was a thread about them, not too long ago. I did look at the dresses form TDS and IMO the ones at Costco are nicer (sorry DisneyFan09). The dresses at Costco all come with an accessory.
Cindy comes with fingerless gloves, a headbad and choker, Aurora comes with a necklace and tiara, Snow White with a headband and Belle with a headband. Here is a link showing you what they look like. They are all "official Disney costumes" too. I believe they are made by a company called Disguise (going from memory here, could be wrong) and the company merchandising rights to the Disney name.

Rumor has it there might be an accessory pack available soon for 10.99?
I also purchsed mine in Neptune. Hello jordgubben, probably passed you in the aisles!!!!

As noted in an earlier post, check BJ's also. The costumes are identical to Costco's and they sell the accessory packs--with tiara, scepter, and shoes for $9.99.

Interesting. The picture of the Cinderella wig on the page is identical to one we sold at TDS last year. It came in a plastic bag that hung rather than a bin-style packaging. Although I remember it being cheaper at TDS than at this retailer.

Are these $60 dresses the ones being sold at Costco?

These are the dresses at Costco. The picture is identical to the dresses found at Costco/BJs. But they are 29.99 at Costco. The Sleeping Beauty and Belle are stunning. Too cute. The other two are nice, just not as nice. And I have a Cindy lover. She wants to be Cinderella when she grows up. don't have the heart to tell her. But she does remind me everyday that dreams do come true.

Maybe the pictures don't do them justice but I think the costumes and accessories at The Disney Store are much prettier. And unless they have a Disney tag of some sort in them, they are not "official".

These kind of look like the ones in the lillian Vernon catolog, which sell for about $45. If they are using the disney name, they must be licenced.

Thanks for the like to that costume site. I need to figure out what to wear to the MNSSHP on Halloween.

I just checked, there is a Disney tag with the very official font and copyright information. They are made by a company called Disguise under the Disney label. So they are official.
I only saw the Cinderella costume in TDS, and I wasn't that impressed. That being said , this Cinderella is my least favorite.
Go figure!

I just got back from Costo and bought Cinderella and Snow White. I also went to TDS to look and Compare. TDS has an absolute wonderful Cinderella for around $85!!! They also have a $35 one. It has NO accesories and is knee length. After adding all the accesories, gloves (fingerless, less mess), chocker, headband (works better than a crown) that come's with the Costco one I know I made the right choice.

I just need to whine. After reading everyone's raves about the Costco costumes, I decided I could really make my life easier by buying one of these rather than sewing one.

My Costco didn't order them!! Apparently last year's didn't sell well and they ended up having to mark them down (to $19.77 - too bad DD's princess love didn't start til recently.) And they won't let me order one from another warehouse and have it sent there.

I've got my parents looking at the Costco's near them and am keeping my finger's crossed.

Well, it can't cost that much to send it. If your parents don't have any luck post back here and we'll see if we can work something out.

These are the exact costumes to those found in the Lillian Vernon catalog. I just bought the Aurora for my daughter and think the quality is very nice and compares more to TDS $85 version than their less expensive version. Hope this info is helpful.

There is also Aurora, Tinkerbelle, Belle, Mulan, Jasmine, Minnie, Snow White and Ariel. My favorite out of this grouping is the Cinderella. One of my co-workers at the office went in and bought it for his daughter for dress up (and hopefully, Halloween).

The deluxe costume is reminicent of a 18th century gown. It's in the Disney catalog as well. Quite a bit of lace on this one. Very pretty.

I saw the deluxe ones on-line and that on looked GORGEOUS! I am very interested in the Cinderella cloak. If it is nice, I'll buy it for those cold trick-or-treating days. (Although if I buy it, it will be unsesonably warm this year! LOL) Think I'll take a ride to TDS and see what they have.

I bought the deluxe Cinderella dress and shoes for my daughter and it's more even more gorgeous on!! The skirt is very full and the lace at the wrists is very elegant. My dd is thrilled beyond words, it was worth every penny!!

Does anyone know if the Costcos in the greater NYC area have these?

I noticed folks were talking about the princess costumes. Has anyone seen a Tinkerbell at Costcos?

I saw them at BJ's on Long Island. I think they have a one day pass on their site, but I think they charge a 10% surcharge. They also have the accesory sets for 9.99.
