Disney Price Tiering isn't Bad... It's Bad Timing

I don't see price tiering as a money grab. I see it more as crowd control.

Tiering one day tickets is not crowd control. Not even close. It won't make a bit of difference. Tiering one day tickets is merely the precursor for what's to come - tiering multi-day tickets, which might actually have a chance of helping with crowds.

TL;DR
But...a company that makes front-of-the-house staffing cuts and raises prices one month after reporting revenue and attendance that were both preceded by the word "record", is tone deaf. So yes, I am agreeing with your title that the timing was awful.

For Disney to cut now I'd guess they are forecasting some serious shortfalls 9 to 12 months out. Better to get in front of it than chase
