Is it just me or does anyone else find this to be very offputting (Not your comment, Disney's inclusion of this in their video). This is probably one of the most evil things to happen in the series (the destruction of Alderaan), and making light of it in this way just does not sit right with me, even though it is fiction.

In case anyone hasn't thought this through --- what this video shows has very little to do with the actual ride...the original "Star Tours" had you scheduled to go on a trip to Endor...yet you never make it there.

Therefore, this is only a video showing where you could choose to travel in a world where everything goes as planned. The actual ride will have you starting off going to one of those locations - when EVERYTHING GOES SPECTACULARLY WRONG! (Because this is how most theme park attractions seem to work.) You will never get to Alderaan, Endor, or Bespin on the ride.

And I'm not going to get too worked up about a sie-comment in-joke directed at a fictional planet.

Agreed. It is not like they are joking about the holocaust or something.

Also the 3 in 1 could be a hint at the rumors about having 3 different shows running on the attraction so you would need to ride several times.

So did you feel bad when you played a role in the destruction of the Death Star in the initial ride? There were supposed to be something like 31 million people inside it, you know!

When I was in Disney in May, a few CM's mentioned that the rides would have different "combinations," kind of like TOT is with the drop sequence. They said there were 13 "discs" made, which my assumpion(but I probably am wrong), is that each one of these discs is a scene/location. And it sounded like you could get different combinations of these scenes(one guy said there's about 80 different combinations possible).

So in other words, it sounds like you're on the right track :thumbsup2

The different combination's idea sounds amazing. I CANT WAIT to see what they have planned for Alderaan. I cant wait to see what they come up with for the planets terrain. You only get a glimpse of it in episode 3, but it looks really cool. I'm thinking it will have something to do with escaping Alderaan before it explodes. (even though it was unknown to them in the film) I think it will be along those lines though. Coruscant would have been cool to see too.
