Disney Premier Visa attached to MagicBand... 2% rewards?

I can't seem to find an answer to this question. I'm a new Premier card holder, and having 2 other Disney Visa cards/accounts I know you have to use or at least show the card at retail locations to get the 10% discount. But I'm trying to figure out the bonus 1% (2% total) rewards for purchases at "Disney Owned and Operated locations" (as per the fine print).

If I have the card attached to my Magic Band, and the whole WDW folio balance is charged to my card upon checkout appearing on my next statement, do I earn 2% rewards on the entire charge? If there is a location that is not Disney O&O and I use my MB, like some coffee kiosk, or Mitsukoshi at Epcot (Japan) where I do the most shopping damage incidentally, how would that be separated? I might be inadvertently confusing discount vs. rewards eligibility as I've been going in circles readings FAQs and Terms on multiple chase sites.

Thank you!! Leaving in 6 days!!

I think, if you charge everything to the magic band, and then pay that off with your Disney visa you get the 2% because it's considered Disney (it goes through as one charge).

If you were to buy something at a non Disney owned store on Disney property (like Japan or some DTD stores) you would not earn the extra percent (so just 1%).

Just FYI, how I work it, I carry my Disney visa with me and if my purchase is over $50 (and in a applicable store) I use that for the discount. If it's not, I charge to the magic band.

Thanks for the reply. But if I charge Japan or some DTD to the Magic Band and it all gets billed as one Disney Charge, I'm afraid somehow it'll disqualify the rest of the charge from the rewards because it's basically impossible to itemize it. On the other hand, that inability could work in our favor? Seems kinda too good to be true, but who knows?

Well, no expert here but I have the cards. And I'm going this coming weekend with my redemption cards and credit card neatly tucked in my wallet, plus my gift cards and anything else that's free money for Disney.

You need to use your actual card at a location to get a shopping discount, so no charging that transaction back to the room. (Experts correct me if I'm dreaming....)

However, I doubt Chase is able to go into your Disney folio and sort out what qualifies for rewards, so I think everything actually charged to the room will qualify as a Disney purchase.

I would just get one of the credit cards that rebates you 2% for ALL charges.

I've always defintiely gotten the 2% on the big Disney charge (which is usually my food and any souvenirs I bought without using the discount). I just looked at my statement from my last trip and that charge is listed as "WDW Resort." There is no other finer breakdown and It appears I earned 2% rewards on that amount. I did buy something in Japan on that trip and I assume I used my magic band because I don't usually carry any other cards with me so, I'd say, you're fine. :)
