Disney Premier Upgrade Questions

Considering upgrading to a the Disney Premire card.

I don't mind the Annual fee as we do put most of our stuff on the card.
A few questions.

A. Does the 2% only apply to groceries and Gas? Anything else?
B. When they say certain Disney purchases can be for the 2% does anyone know if I would get 2% back on Disney Cruise Line Payments. Have to pay about 10K on Alaska trip coming up with multiple rooms.
C. Any promotions for upgrading at this time? I have been invited before but have passed. Since we are getting ready to pay on the Cruise in a few months I was revisiting if this is worth it.
D. Any DVC owners know if you get 2% on your Annual DVC fees that we usually pay with our card.

Thanks for any information on this!!

2% applies to groceries, gas and Disney purchases. I have seen reports of people getting the 2% back for Disney cruise payments. I always charge everything to our room at Disney, and get the 2% back for the whole charge. I have gotten the 2% back for Disney tour payments, AP purchases, and most importantly, DVC maintenance fees.

I don't know about any incentives right now. We upgraded when Chase offered the extra 5% rewards for 3 months.

We are very pleased with our premier card, the 2% rewards more than cover the cost of the $49 fee.

Thank you so much for your response. I am hoping for an upgrade incentive. I wonder if I can call Chase and see if there is any offer for an upgrade for us. Thank you so much!

2% also applies to restaurants, besides those mentioned of gas, groceries and Disney

I saw on the boards that they are offering a $200 gift card right now for new subscribers. I did not see the offer, only the thread on here. They usually have incentives from $50-$200 and it changes, probably based on sign ups. There is usually a code. Do a search for Disney Premier Incentives and see if anything comes up.

Good luck. We like ours and use it for almost everything. We joined when they offered the 5% bonus at the start. In those 3 months we accrued 450 points. More than covered the $49.

I just applied for mine yesterday! The offer was a $200 gift card if you spend $500 within 3 months (easy to do) and no annual fee for the first year.

Oh that is a good deal. Did you upgrade or sign up brand new for the Disney Visa? We have had the card for at least 5 years now.

Thanks for everyone's response! I will start to search for a promo or call Chase when I am off work. I just hate to upgrade without some incentive!

I have had the regular Visa for many years but just applied for the new one last week(ish).

I applied for a new one (rather than calling to change it over) 1, because of the deal and 2, because I totally psyched myself out and decided I needed to have 2 cards in my hands when I start changing over all of my automatic purchases (whatever can get charged to the card does). I knew my credit would take a small hit but it was worth it.

Of course, the new card has a much lower credit limit so I will most likely have to call and get it upped (and the old one lowered and then eventually cancelled). I was afraid I'd miss changing something though which is why I did it the way I did. If that helps at all and you're neurotic like me. :)

I got an offer in the mail last week - $200 gift card and the annual fee waived the first year if you spend $500 in the first 3 months - I applied online for it! I've been seeing some too online - like the advertisement banners at the top/bottom of some websites over the past week with offers for either $100 or $200 gift card when you sign up!
