Next January we will be purchasing the Premier Pass for WDW and DLR. You have to purchase this in person and obviously we need to make FP for WDW before arrival. We will be visiting WDW first. If we purchase the AP for WDW, when we pick it up from Guest Relations, can we just upgrade then and pay the difference?

We are. 4-6 weeks at WDW and 2 weeks of DLR and most likely a third week just before the pass expires.
