Disney Potato Heads from DTD, How much $$

I would like to be able to have my kids pick out some Mr Potato HEad and items from the Toy Store in Down town Disney. Does anyone know how much these are?? Are they outrageously priced? I heard that they do a set price for whatever fits in a box. How big is the box? Is it worth it to find any mr potato at a home toy store and then pick up the accesories there at Disney? Or is that not neccessary? THanks KRsita

i think they are around $19 per box. If you don't need the pototae body, you will fit more in the box, but you can also stuff the "behind" of the potatoe body as well so you really won't lose that much space. You are prbably best to check out the pieces down there and if you want alot of pieces try with the body and if you don't have enough room with all your choices, dump it and start without the body.

Does anyone know if they still do the my little pony boxes? (I have 2 who want to make light sabres, one who will be happy with potato head but youngest daughter is really into ponies)

Yes the ponies are still there in the back. DD got a box of stuff at Thanksgiving

They do sell the Basic Mr. Potato Head there separately for only $4 and something if you don't want to bother bringing one with you. That isn't too bad for that shop I didn't think.

We bought Mr. Potato head here at home for $4, then stuffed a box for $20 at disney world. The clerk even helped me fit extra pieces in our box!! It was stuffed! I can't wait to get even more parts next time we go down! I even filled a box for my godchild full of disney princess parts! She'll love it! Absolutely worth it and fun fun fun!!!

One year, I packed up some Mr Potato Heads (DH thought I was nuts) and secretly picked up a box 0'parts and then pulled out the whole shebang on the plane on the way home. It was a nice way to extend the magic a teeny bit.

Another way to fit a couple more things in the box... if you pick out the suitcase, it opens and a couple of ears will fit in there!

Yea, my husband thought I was nuts, but boy oh boy did I get a lots of stuff in that box!

The CM's at the store are also very good at helping you get as much as you can into a box, and will usually help you out when you go to pay, to maximize how much you can get in there.

Oh, and just a little "insider" information I got from a CM there the other day -they are getting some official Mr. Potato Head Star Wars parts in, in the next few weeks. I believe the CM told me they were getting Princess Leia parts and also Spud Trooper (Storm Trooper) pieces, not positive if I'm right on that though. I'll keep my eyes open and report back.
