Disney possible upgrade?

I received an email fron Disney with a lot of questions.
It asked if we could pick any resort for our 8/26- 9/3 stay what would it be. I responded Poly. We are currently booked at CBR. It asked where you stayed last visit? Poly 2003. Has anyone else gotten this email? Did it lead to anything? Am I being overly wishful?

I booked directly thru Disney travel. I called back during free dining period and added a day after initial res as I needed it after I booked flights.

This was a survey correct? Asks you to please take the time to fill out survey and have it completed by such and such date? Most likely the questions were in reference to the Free Dinning Promotion?

The survey will ask you a variety of questions (usually in reference to the package you booked) and the final few questions are infact resort related? As well as some personal history?

If so... this will most likely NOT result in an upgrade. We received one soon after we booked our Jan 07' trip. We were at PC and I marked down YC on the question that asked "what resort were you interested in staying in" or something like that. I even posted a thread on here about the subject, and sure enough... no upgrade.

I heard they are used to get a better idea of how successful the packages are and are sent out to a randomly by email.

I received a survey but it was about early morning hours and young visitors. I only got to question 3 because my DS is 6 not 5 and they were interested in families with children 5 and under. I haven't heard anything after that. I'm interested in how they select and if it could mean an upcoming pin number.

darn.... I was really hoping. You are right they did ask questions about free dining and if you were planning to come without it. We were not and it is what lured us back to Disney this year. We already took a big family trip this year to the Bahamas for Spring Break and the free dining made it worth a return to Disney as my kids are 10 and 13.

That's strange. Isn't that the same timeframe that the Value resort people are being upgraded?

I got that email also. We are staying at allstar sports sept 12-18. I dont think there will be an upgrade as we have two rooms. but you never know

Good luck....hope something comes of it for you. I've never received such an email. Heck, I've never received a pin code in over 30 years of visiting Disney!!
