I thought that Disney+ was not included on staterooms TVs, but I just got an email from Disney about my upcoming cruise on the Dream. Included in the email was this:

Disney+.JPG

I realize the email refers to a "selection" of content, so it could be something like Disney+ lite rather than full access. Anyone have any more insight? Has this been recently added? If not, are others with upcoming cruises getting similar emails, so that we can expect that something will be added soon?

I just got an e-mail from DCL on Tuesday about our upcoming cruise on the Wish on Jan 30 and nothing about Disney+. I keep hoping although I'm not sure we'll spend much time in our stateroom on this cruise.

I’m guessing they’ll simply brand the current system with the D+ look, and maybe add to the roster of available movies and shows some D+ exclusives.

There was a channel that said Disney + favorites or something of that nature… it was an episode of behind the attraction when I flipped through

I saw the D+ favorites in July too. They definitely didn’t have everything, especially the TV shows/serials, but they had a lot of the full length animated movies and live action movies. Son got Covid, so we quarantined for 3 days. They had all of the Star Wars and MCU movies but not the TV series. It was still enough to occupy us.

Almost anything would be an improvement from my last cruise. There was a channel that played nothing but a ghost hunter show all four days.

Were you on Wonder ? I would have hoped they would have brought the on-demand system to that ship already...

I was just on the Dream last week and didn't see anything about Disney+. The regular Disney on Demand movies were there.

Have they not??
I wasn‘t sure. It was the last ship without it and it wasn’t on her the last time we went. It’s just that PP‘s comment sounded like she was stuck rewatching the same movie over and over.

Then you had access to an extensive on-demand programming, if your last cruise was somewhere after 2019.
Didn't see it. There were about 20 channels. Four were news, four were sports or saved for sports, home network, cooking network, aforesaid ghost hunting, a few ship channels. What was I supposed to press for "on demand?"

I don’t have a picture of the remote, but it’s in the same place as the onboard account. Probably the ‘Menu’ button.

Unless things have changed from last summer, the on demand content has always been different from what's available on Disney+. I've always noticed that "Bridge of Spies" in available on the ships, but it's nowhere on Disney+.
