Okay, I do realize that I am a coffee snob. I buy Dunkin Donuts to brew at home (& nothing else), but I've also hard decent cups at the gas station. You would think that the Nescafe people would supply some decent coffee in hopes of selling more of it in the stores.
We're going in May & although we'll be buying the refillable mugs, we will also be bringing our own coffee maker. I'm not even going to worry about bringing my own DD coffee, since the Maxwell House filter packs are easy & a big improvement over Nescacrap (I like that new word that perfectly describes the coffee at WDW).![]()
Life is too short to drink bad coffee![]()
See, now this is the issue. I dislike the single cup of DD I've had. My husband will not drink Starbucks - won't. In our house its African Peaberry, which we stock up on for the three months a year you can get it (coffee snobs? Well, at least we don't drink Kopi Luwak at $160 per pound).
The coffee Disney served is liked by very few. But Nestle pays Disney to sell it - so Disney is getting paid twice (except in concerierge). I'm guessing the combination of bad coffee, coffee makers in the room, and the fact that its usually hot in Florida means coffee isn't sold a lot - so it isn't a huge problem one way or the other for Disney - certainly not enough of a one to risk their Nestle relationship over because the complaint has existed for YEARS and Disney has yet to do anything.
Best hope, the Nestle relationship dies over something other then coffee.
