Hi everyone!
We are heading to WDW in December. I have a DS who is 9. He loves to collect stuff, and I can foresee him being very interested in the Disney pins that people trade. HOWEVER, he is very quiet and will have no interest in getting into the trading side of it. He will likely just want to build a collection with his souvenir money. If he starts buying pins and wearing them on one of the cute lanyards, will he be constantly approached by people wanting to trade? I don't want to encourage this interest if he is going to feel stressed about strangers talking to him. Any thoughts?

We all collect something different so it's fun for us but it's been a great tool for bringing her out of her shell. "regular" people will probably not approach him, CM's probably will. If he doesn't want to trade all he has to do is say "No Thanks" and that's it. If people pressure him then you can be prepared to step in and back him up but most people won't pressure him at all. When we pin trade we love trading with kids and while standing in lines will offer trades to kids, but we never push it and if they chose not to trade then that's just fine with us. We buy grab bags from mousepinsonline.com and I have a couple of eBay sellers that have sent me good stuff, if you would like their eBay names just PM me and I'll be happy to share.
