Hey guys :wave2:

I'm thinking of getting trading pins for my girls for when we go to Disney. I'm looking at a lot on Ebay right now, and they are so cheap, that I could probally buy 75+ for $50 (they are .01 each with $3 S&H for the first then .50 for each one thereafter). My only question is, how many pins does one lanyard hold? I'm looking at this one sellers, and he has 60+ pages of pins, and I'm watching about 50 now!!!

TIA

EDIT - Are the pins I'm looking at on ebay for only $.01 each real Disney pins or crappy rip offs?

The pins may be real or not. The odds are good that although they are a penny now, they will end closer to $1.50-$2.00 each. You might want to try a company called www.mousepinsonline.com. They have Disney pin grab bags for $1.75 per pin plus shipping. I've ordered from them before and found them to be very reliable. Then you don't need to mess with ebay.

Good luck.

I have ordered some on ebay and have had good luck. I have heard not to get spanish pins or something else that starts with an s- sedesma or something like that. If you look through the auctions, you will usually see "No xxx pins" listed in some of the higher priced auctions. I got each kid 15-20 pins each. They traded them and liked doing it, but I was glad that I didn't pay full price- they didn't like it that much. My just turned 3 year old was only interested because his 5 year old brother was. Otherwise, he would have been oblivious.

I have bought all my pins from ebay...there is always going to be somebody trying to rip you off so you are right to be cautious but I have all good experiences... ::yes::
You can comfortably fit @10 pins on a traditional lanyard.

Yeah, I'd say 10 is about right...more than that and they are too close to your neck, and start getting heavy.
I can PM you with the seller I have bought from a few times on ebay. Of a lot of 50, about 10 are keepers, and I've never got duplicates.

I use mousepinsonline.com and get teh 50 pin grab bag. Has worked out great for me. I carry about 10 pins on my lanyard (usually junk) and DH carries 3 in his pocket in case he comes across something and me and my lanyard are not there.

Where's a good place to buy a lanyard online? I would like to get them for everyone before our trip - part of their goody bag :goodvibes

I'd say ebay or mousepinsonline for the lanyards. If not you can get them in the hotel gift shops of you need to pop in real quick before the parks. Word to the wise, pin trading is an evil addiction. Just letting everyone know (so there's more pins for me!!!)

ebay is the way to go if you are looking for pins to just trade... fwiw the pins that start at .01 do usually end up somewhere between $1-3 but that is still way better than buying them at the park ( the ones we buy at the park are our ones we wish to keep!).. also be sure to try and buy from the same seller that way you can do combined shipping and sabe even more! hth

Who is the person off of ebay you buy your pins? I am a BIG pin collector and I would love to know some great places to get pins (disney) besides actually disney for a good price and no ripping off!!

Thanks so much!!!
