We're going to disney world in the Fall (hopefully) and im super interested in the pins.. i'm wondering how much each is, if you can buy them individually? I just want the pins.. im not looking to trade/collect or anything. Im looking for winnie the pooh, eeyore, tigger & piglet, and mickey & friends.. Are they hard to find? I'm completely new to this disney thing, can you tell?

You will find pins for sale in the stores, if you aren't interested in trading then just buy them in the parks. :) Enjoy!!

The characters you are looking for are fairly easy to find and there are lots of them. (as opposed to say Robin Hood or Mary Poppins) As for price.....it all depends. I think the low is now somewhere around $10 and we have yet to see a ceiling, but let's say some can go into the $100s for the super jumbos.

Your premise does have one flaw, there are pins you can only get by trading. CMs wear lanyards with pins on them with little mickey heads "hidden" on them and up until last year, they were only obtained by tradeing. See the "Pin Trading, just need to vent" post regarding trading for the alphabet series. Also, pins that are no longer for sale, pins from other Disney venues, and pins only available to Disney employees most people can only get by trading.

Go to pinpics and do a search on the characters to get an idea of what is out there. Go to the Official Disney Pin Trading site to see what pins will probably be on sale when you get to WDW. Have fun.

i collect, and rarely trade (only with CMs, only sometimes)

i collect attraction pins, Mickey Mouse, Donald and Belle...if you dont worry about getting every one ever made, you dont really have to trade (unless the one you want is a trade only)

i love pin trading (the official name of the hobby lol) and after starting in 2005 i have 59 (i just gave 3 away, as it seems, for nothing)...everytime i go to the parks, i buy one or two pins, but there is a local Disney Discount store, and i buy trash pins for trading there (trash being my term for pins i dont want, not fake or *scrapper* pins)
