Yes Toontown is to be leveled to make room for the new expansion at MK. Here's a link with more info.

I agree, very sad. Our kids always loved that area.

I like the Toontown at Disney World, but I'm VERY excited for the new expansion. I was just at the Toontown in Disneyland this past fall and Wow! If they were tearing that Toontown down then I'd be upset. Toontown in Disneyland was by far my favorite part of that park.

The Boneyard.

The next time your kids are spending time excavating at The Boneyard, take time to look around and notice the details Disney has put into this wonderful little play area.

You'll see that the workers are hard at work, but they must be on break or having a rare day off while we visit their dig:

December 2008 was my last trip to Disney World, and the oddest part of that trip was we didn't need fast passes for Tower of Terror OR Rock'n Rollercoaster. TOT was litterally a walk on. We didn't stop walking until we got to the elevator. RNC was just a five minute wait. I rode each one twice in 30-minutes.

Unfortunatly, I showed up at DCA when the pond was empty for the upgrades for the new light show. I still love this shot, but I keep thinking about how it would look with the waters reflection in it.
