Joe, your photo's are allways so beautiful. You have probably been asked this a lot but I am shopping for a new camera before our upcoming trip. Any suggestions? I want to stick to around $500 if I can but my tiny digital just doesn't get the range of shots I want. I don't expect to be a pro like you :goodvibes, just want better shots of the family and a camera capable of doing some of the tips and tricks I have learned on these boards.

LOL, Ed, my daughter and I were literally the last riders of the night and there was no one on our boat or anywhere around for that matter. It was actually kind of eerie. I got some worthy photos out of it though…:thumbsup2

See, a few days ago I would have thought that was really a cool thing. THEN! I started reading Kingdom Keepers with my son and now the idea of being anywhere near a small world all alone kinda sounds creepy as heck to me!

Awww, thanks so much :goodvibes ... Honestly, if you have $500 to spend, I would go with the Sony DSC-H9. It looks to be (haven't had any 1st hand experience with it) an awesome camera. It is in the same line as what I shoot with, the Sony DSC-H2. And 15X optical zoom... holy moly.

P.S. I'm anything but a pro. I just started taking pictures as a hobby in Oct 06. Honestly... The Sony DSC-H2 makes it easy to get great pictures.

HaHa I've heard about that book...

It sounds strange. Really strange. But I would have been real freaked out if I didn't have my three year old with me :rotfl2: ... There's just something about being alone in a place where there're usually hundreds if not thousands of people.

That's the first thing that came to me too when I saw it.

We rode IASW the day after my wife read that part of Kingdom Keepers and she was creeped out about it in a full boat!

I love your daughter's hair. We rode Test track a second time so we could take a picture of my daughter's hair from the back seat. :lmao:
