Disney Phychology Secrets?

With all of the correcting going on, I'm surprised that no one has corrected the spelling of the title. It is spelled Psychology

I think that I read Cinderella's Castle is 189 feet tall & Tower of Terror is 198 or 199 feet tall to be under the 200 feet mark so no beacon is needed

Also that this thread has gone off the track. I think the spirit of the OP was things Disney does to trick your mind like the:

  • Forced Perspective on the castle
  • Shops get shorter as you walk up main street towards the castle to make it look even bigger
  • even garbage cans are spaced x amount based on how far you are willing to carry a piece of trash

Not

how the trash is sucked through tubes or that the MK is "floor two"

JMHO :thumbsup2

I guess this may fall more into an "extra" rather than a psychological trick by the imagineers, but there is a small island you pass while on the Kilimanjaro Safari that is in the shape of Mickey's head. We had passed it many times and I had never noticed. On our 5th anniversary trip, DH and I got approached (because of our anniversary buttons, I suppose) by two CMs in AK who asked if we wanted to have a safari all to ourselves. (This was during the Year of A Million Dreams) The CM who drove us did not do the usual "script" since we had rode it several times before and instead told us a bunch of neat Disney trivia. It was a very cool surprise!
