Who are you two to lecture us on ethics ? For my family this is a big deal. They have set up a flawed system, have no level of customer support and worst of all when confronted I'm told this is a contract with Kodak that is being sorted out. I argued that the old Disney company never tolerated thousands of clients being let down without some sort of offer. That Disney Guest Services would go that extra mile to call around and try to help and Disney never blamed their contractors for problems.
In this case I confronted a Guest Services manager on Monday who admitted that the Kodak people lost of 11 thousand pictures during the holiday and they are barraged by complaints. He also admitted that Kodak having an online only support system has client after client complaining by telephone to Disney Guest Services. He apologized that for the moment they have no real solutions but also said he could not authorize new park passes so we could get in and have new pictures taken.
Do I want to expose my children to the truth about what happens when a big company becomes too reliant on technology ? You bet and I am also training them to be proactive consumers and how to handle themselves in handling those type of people who say they can't do anything. This one is not over. If we are one of thousands Disney needs to learn that one may be too many.
