Disney Photography

We have booked our photography package with Disney and our video package with STVS.

We have 4 months to go and I am really happy with all our choices - this site has been a great help!

My only thoughts recently are on our photography...... I have read different opinions on peoples experiences with Disney Photography and I would love if anyone who has used them and been happy with the results could show me some of their pictures? Just to put my mind at ease!

I have scoured the boards over the past few months about the photography issue...I think that over the past year or so since Disney restructured their photography services and allows you to be able to give them your top picks of specific photographer that the photography services have been what you would expect Disney's high quality standards to be....just my opinion! I had to switch from an outside vendor to Disney's Fine Art Photography and feel that based on what I've read about recent weddings and photographers and based on their online portfolios I feel we will be in good hands! I told them my top 3 choices based on the online portfolios I know this doesn't help, but just thought I'd join the conversation good luck!

I just want to second what Amanda said. I looked at having an outside photographer (love Misty Miotto), but to get the amount of overage I wanted and because I have an in park reception, it just didn't make financial sense (and I'm spending a lot on photography and videography). I have been keeping tabs on the Disney photogs whose style I like and I feel comfortable that we will have quality images at the end of the day.

This has really helped put my mind at ease, I feel the same about the coverage I can get with disney instead of outside vendors, we are having our reception in LSS so we really dont want to miss out on beautiful pro pics inside there!

that's how I feel -- I feel that the Disney Photographers know the lay of the land better than an outside vendor would. They know the details at the locations to get and may hopefully have experience in Living Seas with being able to properly photograph the tanks and with the dark scenery

I used DPS for my in park shoots and Dessert Party, and Randy Chapman for the ceremony/reception. I appreciated both - as they are very different. Had the price been right I would have been happy to have DPS do the whole thing, but unfortunately it put me way over budget, and plus I love Randy's style.

I loved having the 2 different "styles" of photography really...Randy is a bit more creative with the editing of the photos, and took a lot of more "outside the box" pictures for us. He was so fun to work with!

That being said I was VERY pleased with Amy (our DPS photographer) - she was able to put us at ease, took fantastic shots, and really maximized our time with her! We got so many fantastic pics from both shoots she did - feel free to check out my PJ to see some examples - the quality of her pictures was just top notch!
